Heroes of Might and Magic (the first one)
my two brothers let me play it when i was like...3-5 or something because I was pretty sick at the time. (long story short: I was at the hospital for like...1-2 years,) I needed something to kill time with.

And thus the reign of "[name] the Warlock" began.

It's the reason I'm a gamer, it's the reason I got awesome grades in English class (I'm Norwegian), and it's the reason why no matter how much I suck at those games I still love 'em.

My father bought the home version of Pong, and I remember liking it, but I was too young at the time. I think the first time I got really hooked into gaming was with the Atari 2600. A lot of kids my age had one too, or played in friends' houses, so we compared scores and experiences, even though we were like 8 years-old or so. I guess I've been gaming most of my life.

I can always remember. My dad brought the PC version of call of duty. He'd let me and my brother play it. First time I noticed the fun of games. That Christmas, he brought The Big Red One for PS2. Those were the days.

Diddy Kong Racing! Having to beat the silver coin challenge on Greenwood Village turned me into a gamer.

I was a some-time gamer with an Atari 2600 for awhile as a child, but I didn't really dump hours of my life into a game until I got an NES and this:

(I was nine)

Pokemon Red when I was six. The endless hours I logged into pokemon games (until I was sixteen and developed a thirst for violence over animal cruelty)

Super Mario World on Super Nintendo. I watched my brother play that all the time when I was really little and played it myself when he wasn't around. I probably spent more time on Megaman X once we got that though.

Pokemon Silver version was my first game and the game that got me into gaming. I loved that game and put in more hours into that game than I did any other Pokemon game.

Jumpman and Jumpman Jr (Commodore 64) - These are the games I remember loving from the onset and wanting to come back and try to improve upon.

There were tons of others for the C64 including Archon, Friday the 13th, Ghostbusters, Caveman Ugglympics, some amazing western game that used Bioware style conversation and choice systems <if anyone knows that name of that game I'd love to know>.

Our household eventually got into the NES which naturally got me addicted to Super Mario Bros and snowballed from there.
That western game must've been:

LAW OF THE WEST (played it myself)

Nailed it! Great job. I've tried to explain this game to a friend of mine at work but couldn't find the name of it for the life of me. Can't wait to watch the video and see how badly it holds up :)

Sonic the Hedgehog, waaaaaaay back when dinosaurs ruled the earth and no one had ever heard of "loading times".
well except for those unfortunate children who had to play on the commodore 64, amiga and the like.
