Escapist, what is your IQ? I have never taken an "official" test before, but I just took a test at http://www.intelligencetest.com and it said my IQ was about 150. I know my brother's IQ is 170ish, but what does it say yours is?

Your IQ is affected by your age, so unless you're 60+ years old then you are obviously telling a very poorly veiled lie.

Nope. Didn't even take it. Actually, I will, just to show how stupid it is. I am a 15 year old 10th grader with a 3.2 GPA. And my IQ is...... 144! Wow! I'm a genius! none of you have taken legit IQ tests, they rarely do them anymore. The average for white males is 100, so either the escapist is EXTREMELY smart or youre all lying (im sorry but im fairly sure this is true)

that being said, I actually just got results back from an aptitude test today, and guess what? verbal recognition i was 99th percentile, and i had many in the superior range (85th percentile-- 95th)...

so what did i get on this online test? 101

I'm sorry but i can almost say for certain that this isnt an IQ test.

I've usually gotten around 125 on like online tests, but as has been pointed out they weren't really the best. There are different types of intelligence. I was having this discussion the other day with a friend who was telling me how he could read a page long script just once and remember the whole thing, but was amazed that I could remember an origami shape after just one try. Linguistic learning vs. muscle memory.

I would agree with the genius magnet. We tend to have more... intelligent folks here than most sites do.

OT: That test is skewed and wrong. Far, FAR too easy. Last I heard it was up near 150, though I think it may have been higher. I don't pay attention to this shit. I prefer practical applications rather than aptitude tests, since these tests tend to show a higher result than is actually correct.

Again, shitty test with FAR too easy of questions. Also, age is in no way calculated in determining your IQ in this test.
