Any chance you could convince the powers that be to create a mobile Escapist website with SD video that doesn't require Flash?

They already do. You just have to pay for it. $20 a year gets you HTML5 videos suitable for mobile and desktop viewing. Sure, you gotta pay for it, but then they do have to pay the bills. I'll happily pay for ad free HTML5 videos.

i'll swerve that. thanks anyway. as any site can change their style/stand point, and i'm left with a membership i don't use anymore. oh well

I think the forums tanked a long time ago in quality and/or the respect for other people's opinions.
Not that I've seen anything on this thread, but I do find it hilarious that some posters are giving out about the most petty and innocuous things, when they've just been told that 'Hey, the star system (lol space) review scores we always used are staying and look! Jim Sterling is reviews editor!'

Thank GOD for you, Jim, but let's get down to brass tacks, and ask the really important question here.

Really? Where I went to school (Region of Peel, Ontario) you needed at least a 50% to pass a test/exam/course.

At my current university, Auckland, New Zealand, 50% is the minimum required for a pass, with a C- grade.

It's not really worth the paper it's written on though.

I'm going to guess America because 50% is considered an F here. 60% is generally considered a D, which is a passing grade, technically, but despite 'passing' it might as well mean that you still failed because schools and universities often have an academic probation in place for D level students. I'm going to assume that your tests are slightly easier then, because if we (Australia) used the same grading system then not a lot of people would pass. My university scales our results to ensure an average of around 68% for the entire class (which is a high Credit, a decent score).
