I can't stand when someone can't enjoy a game unless it ends with them being victorious. It's even worse when they use cheap methods or go as far as using hacks to win, because at that point they're not even really playing.
Elitists of any sort. PC elitists are, of course, some of the loudest and most insufferable, but anyone who'll call someone an idiot or flippantly dismiss their game-related problems because that person is playing on the "wrong" system really needs to take a long, hard look at how sad their own life is.

Seconded. I can even give you an example of a specific subspecies of this group. I call them "nostalgists", and they are rampant in the Pokémon community. They believe that any games in the series that took place after Gold/Silver/Crystal have strayed from what they feel are actual Pokémon games. They usually whine about things like there being too many Pokémon, Ditto only being used as a Xerox for Pokémon via breeding, there's too must side stuff like the Contests, things like Abilities and EVs make things too complicated now, etc.Vrex360 said:

You have to accept games with no gameplay and just crappy QTE's because if you don't you are standing in the way of advancing storytelling and the maturing of games as a medium.
You have to want to play MMO over other types of games because being social and friendly is the future. Even if MMO are about as social and friendly as leprosy.
Any FPS or RPG that isn't like Deus Ex is old and in the future all FPS and RPG should converge on that.
And so on. Buzzword spoutin', bandwagon hoppin' annoyances.
