Doom 2. I was six at the time. That's why FPSs are my all time favorite genre. I just couldn't get enough of that game, even though I sucked (I cheated alot).

Oblivion was the first I owned. I think that Half-Life 2 was the first I actually played.

First M game i played was Metal Gear Solid 2, back when i was about 8-9. First M game I owned was either Halo on computer or Oblivion, because i bought it before rating changed.

I'm not quite sure, I may have played others mortal kombat probably, but the first game I knew my parents at the time wouldn't want me playing was Grand theft auto 3.

Just FYI for everyone: The game rating system didn't start until '94. Mortal Kombat and Doom had already been made. That means our first *real* M rated game was no biggie for us "old timers", technically speaking. That didn't make Mortal Kombat or Doom any less cool though. :p

Resident Evil 4. It was also the first game that really brought me into gaming. I mean, I had played the occasional game like Super Monkey Ball (WHICH WAS AN AWESOME GAME) but after Resident Evil 4 I started getting into more games like Half-Life 2 and Dead Rising.

I honestly don't know. Didn't the ratings system start with Mortal Kombat? If that's the case, then I guess it'd be that one.

Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requim...unless that wasn't rated M. In which case, probably Resident Evil: Code: Veronica X.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Played it over at a friend's house, made me feel awesome (due to me being 12 or something at the time).

The ESRB did not even come into being until 1994. It did not fully catch on until later. My copies of both Doom, and Wolfenstein 3D where not rated.

I have no idea. I was playing games long before they where rated, I do remember playing Leisure Suit Larry: Land of the Lounge Lizards when I was fairly young.

Goldeneye. mhm.
I don't get why people are saying Goldeneye was their first M rated game when Goldeneye was only rated T.
