What was the last movie you watched, and did you enjoy it?

Last movie I saw was "The Divide".
It didn't do well in theatres for some reason, and IMDb says it sucks, but fuck IMDb.

I watched Hannibal for the first time on Sunday, excellent film, very much enjoyed it.
Surprised I'm only now getting around to watching them, after seeing Silence of the Lambs last month.
Although to be fair, if you've got Anthony Hopkins in a lead role then the film's practically guaranteed to be good.

Oh god that film was so utterly depressing. The plot was fantastic and the acting decent, but I was completely miserable by the time it was over. It seemed to be depressing just for the sake of depressing, though I admit I did like the lack of explanation for the events that led them to the basement.SPARTANIname said:

Really enjoyed it, had an interesting comparison to a few current issues and it was 'similar' to District 9. Had some shooting, some weird weapons, and had a number of people get gibbed brutally like the director played Doom before writing it.
Sadly it wasn't as memorable as District 9 but still a solid movie. Still had the annoying shaky-cam for the fist fight scenes, less than there were in District 9 but still enough to make me not really understand who was winning during the various brawls.
Copley's portrayal of an insane mercenary stole the show away from Matt Damon, hearing him speak menacingly in a South African accent was both comical and horrifying.
It has exoskeletons, a Halo-esq ring place, some goofy remote detonating homing shuriken things, a guy getting his face blown off then repaired via a magical med bay, and at least two people blowing up Fallout bloody mess style (Arms and legs shoot off like rockets)
Hope it makes enough money to finance District 9 sequel and maybe get Copley some more work, preferably more of him as Murdock from the A-Team movie.

It was pretty awesome. Not quite as good as Hot Fuzz but a tad better than Shaun of the Dead IMO. Hot Fuzz is one of my favourite movies so it's pretty hard to beat.

World War Z was the last movie I saw in theaters. That movie was better than the Resident Evil films in terms of a plot that makes sense as opposed to, "virus makes zombies that then mutate into slobbering tenticle-mouth monsters or undead russian soldiers who can use military weaponry."
The last movie I watched in the past 24 hours was Brave. That one was pretty good too.
Off-topic comment: Is it just me or are most, if not all, animated movies being made in CGI these days instead of uhh,...what did they call the old style of animation? You know movies like, The Lion King or Ferngully or Alladian.

Hey, I just recently saw that too. I'd been trying to find it for months, after a recommendation from my dad. With all that buildup, I agree with your opinion. It wasn't bad at all, but the concept it began with was so promising, and it never really reached that promise. Decent, but disappointing.AccursedTheory said:
On topic, I watched Full Metal Jacket a couple nights ago. I really loved the boot camp section at the beginning, I thought that was brilliant, but the rest of the film was kinda just ordinary Vietnam War stuff. I liked that it wasn't heavy-handed with the "war is hell" message that all Vietnam movies inevitably carry, but nothing all that interesting even happened after the first third of the movie. Overall, good but disappointing.

In terms of the last movie I saw in the theaters, it was Kick-Ass 2 on opening night. It was awesome; not sure if it topped the original Kick-Ass, but it was definitely a stand-alone title.
In terms of the last movie I saw at home, it was Mama yesterday. This movie was less horror and more suspense thriller/mystery, as the film boasts nearly every ghost trope imaginable (unfinished business, emotional trauma, precognitive dreams, bent backwards ghostly figure, etc.). It was a good movie, nonetheless, minus one aspect; Lilly. I hate Lilly.
