I've always wanted to control the wind. Then I could fly and throw things about and make hurricanes!
{insert endless series of fart jokes here}
How did I know someone would do that? Maybe becase I have more than one brain cell...I think I do.
Mine are currently swimming in 12 year old scotch. At least I didn't actually type any of them out. Thought i'd used a bypass code :D

The power to cure all diseases and fly!

That would solve a lot of the world's problems...

Nah, the one I'd have is the power to locate any object, person, anything in the world, with my mind. Think how useful that would be...

I'd also need super speed or flight to get to the 'anything' I had located though...
Maybe just having Psychic powers would solve that...

For pure comedy use, telepathetic powers couple with a pornographic memory could be fun. I believe that would end up giving you the ability to lift small objects via girly mags and remember every detail with a cheesy guitar soundtrack.

The ability to not just negate, but blatantly rip another person's power from their body and wield it as my own.

*poofs behind folks* I can't let you have that. It's too dangerous.
There's poofing involved somewhere along the way apparently. Also, hello thar Mr. Petrelli.

The ability to control flesh would be pretty cool; essentially everyone is your puppet and you can also shape flesh into how you wish. Worlds Best Cosmetic Surgeon?

I LOVE the idea of probability control. I mean the possibilities would be endless... I'd never run into bad traffic, or hit a red light for that matter!

I had this idea for a power whilst watching Heroes the other day. I don't think I'd choose this power but I just thought I'd mention it. It is: the power of respawn! Basically, you're immortal but when you die your body is left behind so everyone thinks you're dead but then a few seconds later you appear at some other random location in the world. So you could end up in Paris or the middle of the ocean. I would like to see a new character in Heroes with that power.

If I had to choose one power though, I think it would be the ability to go inside people's minds, see what they're thinking and manipulate them. It would be especially awesome when you got into people's dreams. It would also be fun if you could transform into anything or anyone. I guess that would be my second choice.

Instnat molecular manipulation + an understanding of how powers work. I could instantly edit my dna to grant me whatever powers I wanted. I guess a limit could be that I could only use one alteration power at a time in addition to the molecular manipulation. However, it would still kick butt. The root molecular manipulation would kick ass itself, I could turn things into gold. I could turn a bullet into gas, so it couldn't harm me. I could escape a building by turning my cell (or the entire building) into either gas. I could turn mud into food. In fact, I'd probably end using time-space alteration as my edited in power, alongside the molecular manipulation. With those two, I would be made of pure awesome.

If you still consider that cheating, I'd have to go for molecular manipulation without the ability for power switcheroo.

The power to control and generate fire. Who doesn't like fire?
I don't. Electricity is much more versatile.
Well if were ever stuck out in the woods together, you'll power the electronics, I'll cook the marshmallows.
Ah, but you can still light a fire with electricity. So that's what he is thinking. I count 5 or 6 technopaths now, (me included) so I'm going to change my first choice to my second choice. Who wouldn't want to be trained in the weirding way? And if no one really knows what that is, shame shame shame. >_<
