So yeah, self explanatory, gimme a name and and explanation. And just for fun, maybe throw in a pic or a screencap if you didn't go with the default look.

I named my mine Adrian. 10 internets to the guy who first gets that reference. I used the default MaleShep so no pic for you.
Late to the game, but Half Life.

OT: Jack Shepherd. Because my name is Jack. Unfortunately, Jack Shepherd is also a Lost character.

German...

I'm so witty it hurts, but OT: in the end I called him Nathaniel.. it seemed good at the time.. I've never had a femshep so I guess I would have gone with something like Amy, simple..

Book, because he's awesome like that.

Obvious reference is obvious, and if you don't get it you shouldn't be here.

Lawrence... It's my middle name. Don't Judge me

EDIT: On my second play through I called him Markus because I've always thought it was a cool name.

I named my Shepard "Lion". This is because I am a furry with a lion fursona and lions are also generally regarded as being quite hard, thus fitting in with his character quite well. Sure he could have been an utter wimp as a kid but fuck it, it's my Shep and I'm sticking to it!

While I haven't got a screencap, I did alter his appearence quite a lot...I tried to make him look like me, seeing as Mass Effect is supposed to have a RPG element here and there. Sadly he looks better, has muscles that are bigger than knots in a wasp's penis and has a backbone made of something considerably stronger than crepe paper dipped in turpentine.

Rand Shepard. Keep reading the Wheel of Time and it just seemed to fit perfectly.

Holly Shepard. I needed some name that would sound antithetical given her penchant for ass-kickery. Even if they are the bloody champion of the universe, it's hard not to think about the parents and childhood someone with a non-badass name like Holly must've had. I thought it would be humanising, really.

Why yes, I do put too much thought into things.

I named him Mordecai because I thought it was a cool name, and he ended up looking kind of like an Asian cross between my brother and Michael Jackson... yeah, it's hard to explain.

For the playthrough where I was just screwing around, I named mine Seamus Shepard, and made him look like a pale, red-headed Irish college student, so that making him look like the hero of the galaxy became doubly funny
