Probably the extending baton right in front of me. I forgot to take it out of my pocket when I got home.

so assume someone with ill intentions regarding your health (someone who wanted to kill you) walked into the room right now! with no time to get up or otherwise change your position, you have to grab something with which to arm yourself! (assume he's unarmed, he just plans to strangle you)

i have a pair of scissors, a lamp

only without the little round safety thing and only one, slightly balding, woodpecker
My bare hands. My guns are stowed away so someone doesn't steal them. The only things I have readily available are my hands. But they are pretty dangerous.

A knife that's in one of my drawers. It's only 3 inches long, but it'd be illegal for me to carry it around without some sort of special permission.

Lamp that gets scalding hot to the touch where the light is, scissors, a "bass (base?) speaker", a printer, a laptop, and a rolly chair.

Within reach? without getting up?

Hmm...

I have a 3" Laguiole penknife, a watch strap tool (which is pointy) and a screw driver. Oh and a walther CP99, but that hardly a weapon, and not loaded anyway.
