When i was younger I had an extensive space marines army, and watching my oppnents face drop when I explained exactly how many attacks my death squad would get when they would charge and that they may as well take the sqaud off the table right now and save me the effort of rolling the dice(2 normally +1 for charge +1 for close combat weapons and thats not including the chaplin :0) Oh what tryanids are unbeatable in clsoe combat? I did start collecting Tau but dropped warhammer shortly after. No one to play and I simply grew out of it.

The Demiurg actually had a fairly decent society, and they lived fairly well. If I had to choose the most badass and coolest faction, I'd say Grey Knights. 10-1 isn't a fair matchup with them. 20-1 is.
