Is it a bad sign that the black american Smith looks more capable and bond-like than the idiot Sam and the slab-faced Bale?
Bale and Sam look like soldiers. Broad foreheads and small-set eyes. Bond was not a soldier. Hell, David Tennant looks more Bond-ish than either of them, and he's a scrawny-necked ex-Doctor for heaven's sake!

Craig was perfect, just quantum was a stinker. The boat chase where people just give up? Listening in on the badguys by riding a motorbike up to a chain link fence? Bad guys who are increasing the cost of water by 20%? What kind of super villiany is that?

Worryingly I see a ton of American actors being dropped for the biggest British character in action cinema history.
Personally I'd vote for Colin Salmon, who almost became Bond in the past. He has portrayed bond in a television skit on Omid Djalili's sketch show.

I hope the Bond saga ends soon. It SHOULD have been done when they turned the last Ian Fleming Bond novel into a film in 1987, The Living Daylights. The movies that have followed have been OK as action movies, but have no right to call themselves James Bond movies. Casino Royale was a joke.
