Need I say more?

It's not all of North America. Gamestop has a pretty good return policy and if you have the receipt and the disk is shattered like that they will take that one and give you a new one if they have it in stock. They're used game return policy is better though. You have 7 days from the time of purchase to give it back, even without the receipt, and they will completly refund your money.Stammer said:Unfortunately, they don't let us do that here. If you open any video game, it's immediately non-refundable. Which is really horrible because unless you rent a game, there's no way of seeing if it's good or not. My friend has a lot of games. He once bought a game for his sister, and the game that came in the case wasn't at all the game that he bought. They wouldn't let him return it. Another time, the same friend bought a game, but the CD was shattered into four pieces. He couldn't return it.Quaidis said:Any time I ask myself, 'Why did I buy this?' it's usually returned to the store the next day.
Not sure if it's just Manitoba or all of Canada. Maybe even all of North America (seeing as how I don't know who you are, Quaidis). At any rate, the system fails.
It's not always that the game's crappy - sometimes your tastes just change. Take Sacrifice.fat american said:Nostalagia has a way of making really crappy games seem fun somehow.
Your post sucks. Anyway.crepesack said:viva piñata
You honestly need to find a better store chain. Much akin to what Fat American said earlier: there are many game stores out there (including GameStop and relatives thereof) that have a reasonable return policy. Ask about such things before you purchase a game. If I find a cd has been broken or the game I purchased was not the game I received, the store would be more then willing to replace it. Most games I buy are used, so I get a ten day 'working' guarantee and a seven or so day satisfaction guarantee. But yes, I see where you're coming from. If you get a new game and you don't like it, given that this is the scenario, it's near impossible to return without lying to the person behind the desk - which may have been why your selected game store is a tad jaded on the issue.Stammer said:Unfortunately, they don't let us do that here.
