Holy crap, I missed that bit! Yeah, that probably won't have helped.

On a tangent...

I know that a lot of 'nerds' are given grief because of things they do. Quite often, when you really look in to it, the attacks they receive 'for no reason' are actually the direct result of something they've done. The most popular one I've seen is assuming the other guy is considerably less intelligent than he actually is and attempting to sneak insults past him.

Bad move.

The other one is assuming that other people can't tell when you're being passive-aggressive (a term I barely had to use before starting posting here) and thinking that you can get away with being a complete twat to people's faces. Well unfortunately for the nerd passive aggression is still aggression and the guy you just fronted up to gets that.

Thirdly; teenagers don't back down properly. If you show your belly in a fight and the other guy gets the better of you for the love of God don't go spreading rumours about them, shooting them looks or making them look stupid! If you back down you back down, you don't needle them. Don't assume they can't hit you because something is stopping them, them not being able to and them not being allowed to are different things. Don't go around thinking that other people like them ARE them, there's nothing necessarily wrong with a jock because he shares hobbies with a bully.
Whenever it comes up on this forum it's never really pretty. It pretty much always devolves into revenge fantasy. I've also seen a lot of the passive aggressiveness in school by "nerds", probably because I wasn't one in high school. A lot of the time these people were so obnoxious that other nerds wouldn't hang out with them because they were so condescending all the time.

The valedictorian in my high school class was on a sport team. Does that make them a jock or a nerd?

I love all the stereotyping and armchair psychology though.

No you're not. just not a very good one. XD JOKING! joking, seriously, joking.

And anywya, slander is a good way to get yourself arrested if youre in the public light. Its a good way to get you in detention/worse when its against someone, ESPECIALLY someone like the football players. the school system is rigged, broken, and horrible because places sports stars on pedistools and in the ranks of untouchable gods. Especially FOOTBALL players.

Except for hockey players. you never see love for pre-collegic hockey teams in America.

@ OP: Well it sucks to be you. Always remember when in public its not who hit first, but whos seen hit back. You went quite a bit overboard with your own retaliation, though I'm sure you're sick of hearing that by this point. All I can say to help you is "just accept it" often times by the middle/end of collage people stop pulling that kind of stuff and start focusing on themselves for better or worse.

I've known quite a few bullies from my own highschool years, most weren't even in sports. Each and everyone of them got away with their actions in school simply because the staff didn't want to do anything about it, either thinking they would be targets next or simply didn't wish to deal with the extra headache. I don't know where they are now, I havn't thought about it for over a decade. Still in the end broken glasses, stolen items, burned cars it hasn't mattered to me in the least these years, it hurt then but its been long since over. I'm sure they are more sucessful then me, most bullies are (agressivness/true sociopathy makes great business traits) but unlike them I get time to do what I want out side of work. All the bully type bosses I've encountered are so busy planning out how to maximise their personal profits and betting when to jump ship that they won't even bother to go out for drinks.

*shrugs*

Anyway just let it go as best you can. It will help you in the long run. It really will.

This song sums up the attitude of these people.

Sounds like you've gotten a hard and unfair time. What schools seem to find vastly important in sports is beyond me.

So's Archery. I know about Karate and the rules of it. I took a year (it just wasnt for me. I was more meditation in Zen through thought rather then exercise) so I got to learn all about that. But that usually is just exploited. And how many people when they think about Karate thing "he cant hit me if I dont hit him first". The way the school would see it is, "hunh... they've beaten the hell out of this kid, now he's turning to Jackie Chan. He's not supposed to hit them but anger clouds the mind and decisions. Yeah.... lets put a stop to this." I'm not saying its right, or that its a definite, but I'm just saying, you can see what I mean, right? Thats why the misconception would hurt him too. He'd be (viewed as by the administration) a danger to everyone. And you're going to let him walk the halls? With football players who think if there is enough of them, or if they have bricks (which is BS, and I believe give you full right to brass knuckle one of those pussies, but thats neither here nor there and nothing something I'm telling you to do, just smething I've seen growing up on the streets) that they could easily take him.

And then what? THe Principal will have to see its self defense when the police make a report because 4 jocks are lying broken in the streets, so he'll have to punish the Jocks with a worse extension then the OP (unless its not on school grounds, which I dont think it would be, but lets just say it is), and then you have the football program fall apart and dissention in the ranks.
Is sports really such a big issue in the states?
If so I really feel sorry for you guys living there..

Also, it's not realistic in any sense that you can take on 4 guys unless you have extensive experience with combat.
But one act of defiance with the result of a broken nose on such a tosser should be enough to discourage any further beatings. Especially if he is told it was his own fault.
Exceedingly so. ANd I know, I feel sorry for us too. If theres one thing.... well... oka, a FEW things I would change, it would be stuff like this.

And no... it wont. They'l just come back with bricks. Hell, they've stopped short of pretty much Knifing the OP, I think unless he beats all four down at the same time or all four enough that they dont want to talk about it, they'll just keep coming back in bigger numbers. Its what happened to me in a nearly identical situation.

Besides, I know its unrealistic to beat up for people. Thats why people dont mess with me, cause I did it, but the problem is he needs to fight the crowd, not the leader. This guy is a football player. he's used to being entitled. He needs that knocked out of him, and then he needs the thought that the guys under him will support him on the basic thought that they are more numerous (probably repeated myself there).

Not even when they get their front teeth punched out, eh? (sorry, had to make that joke)

It really is supposed to be subtle and sarcastic so that when you read it back to yourself it is only obvious to...yourself and maybe those who you explain it you. Think "glorious bastard" archetype there. Unfortunately, my school newspaper is full. My friend actually does this and for the most part, I get the jokes.

This is part of the reason I hate the public schooling system. No one takes responsibility for anything in the public schooling system.

Edit: Oops. I didn't see that he was part of a private school system. But what I say about the Public School system, however unrelated to this thread, still stands.

We don't really have this issue that much in England. And even if we did, I'm bigger than all the sporty kids, so it's all good.

well, if thats so. I just dont know how you can continue it to be subtle, when your school's administrative body knows of the prior incidents. Besides, I dont think its very satisfying in this case if the guy you're doing it about doesnt know youre doing it.

That sounds almost too horrible to be real but I can relate. I guess school still run on the biggest & strongest mentality that is holding back civilization mostly it's that most teachers love sports programs since they bring in revenue so they can't have their precious jocks getting wreaked no matter how much they deserve it.
trust me time and the real world will kick their ass for you in the end. almost everyone who picked on me in grade school dropped out before graduation, failed to get into the military or wound up in prison, or at least the ones I've found out about since then. don't I'm sure you've noticed how much better it is in college already... unless your a senior. in that case just hold out until graduation and find your own group. near the end of high school I had a great time since I hung out with a bunch of other nerds and geeks like myself. some of us are still best friends.

I don't know why they get a free pass, but I'd recommend doing what I did in that situation. Specifically, I advise quitting school (stopping only to crack each of them across the face), moving to the sticks, taking up a guided self-education course, and living the rest of your life as an attractive, well-educated man in the rural American Southwest.

I'm actually serious about that. If you can, do that right away.

You should have filed a suit against the school district as well as the students who bullied you.

Or you should have follow one cunts home and solved it with a baseball bat..... On second thought, go with the first option.

Ehh, don't worry about that, I'm 20 and still in the same boat. :/

People usually just left me alone though. I went to schools full of rich spoiled brats with lawyer parts, and all they knew how to do was ***** and complain, nothing physical. And for some reason, they became scared of me, so I just went with it...

Side note: Fuck you captchas.

Second of all, take up some sort of martial art, it helps relieve stress, anger and it allows you to snap a wrist next time someone starts a fight.
Now if they told him not to do Archery (or suggested it) why would they be cool with him learning Karate, since the common misconception is once you learn it, you turn into Jackie Chan?
Nobody but movie thugs are afraid of Jackie Chan, he's just too nice. The misconception is that if you've got anything higher than a yellow belt, you can handle anything and people are allowed to try to punch you all the time. That's not so great to have in High School. If you do end up taking Karate, do it for yourself, to have fun and stay in shape, not in the hope that you'll have to use it against some douchebag attacking you.

On topic, I have never heard of such gross misconduct being allowed at any school, U.S. or not! Of course, private AND Catholic is asking for trouble. If the OP isn't exaggerating (the teachers aren't there for everything these guys have done, so you probably looked like the one overreacting to them) and it's actually this bad, I would transfer schools. Private isn't the be-all, end-all, and I doubt that you're doing that well in your classes with those assholes torturing you all the time anyway. If you don't hate your parents and they'll listen, put up that card; it's next to impossible to get solid grades with so much stress and hate in your life. It isn't healthy, and your grades are gonna reflect it.

Don't retaliate. I know it's hard to feel like justice hasn't been done, but get out of there. I'm speaking from experience. Leave it be, and find a way out and into a different school.

I don't know what that happens I mean I was THE kid who got mocked and bullied at school and I just stood up for myself and fought back and they left me alone to mind my own business and please don't tell me you can't because I was not only the shortest and skinniest kid at the class I also was the worst on all sport activities and yet I could get them to stop but then again I live in Mexico and I believe things work different here cause you have to stand up for yourself because if don't defend yourself you ain't a man or at least that was what I was told.
