well, if thats so. I just dont know how you can continue it to be subtle, when your school's administrative body knows of the prior incidents. Besides, I dont think its very satisfying in this case if the guy you're doing it about doesnt know youre doing it.Stabber1010 said:Snip
Ehh, don't worry about that, I'm 20 and still in the same boat. :/WOPR said:I'm 18 and have never had a girlfriend
Nobody but movie thugs are afraid of Jackie Chan, he's just too nice. The misconception is that if you've got anything higher than a yellow belt, you can handle anything and people are allowed to try to punch you all the time. That's not so great to have in High School. If you do end up taking Karate, do it for yourself, to have fun and stay in shape, not in the hope that you'll have to use it against some douchebag attacking you.emeraldrafael said:Now if they told him not to do Archery (or suggested it) why would they be cool with him learning Karate, since the common misconception is once you learn it, you turn into Jackie Chan?endnuen said:Second of all, take up some sort of martial art, it helps relieve stress, anger and it allows you to snap a wrist next time someone starts a fight.
Well There's your problem. although to get this clear, what you did was "badass" and I as a porky awkward kid gut bullied to some extent so I've daydreamed of doing similar things. but the problem is that you accidentally let yourself become worse than the bullies, and I know I suck for saying that, but its true. Yes, they beat you and bruised over a long period. But no-one saw that, it wasn't harmless, but it was less "impressionable".WOPR said:snip
well I rang the bell and slid down the rope a little (because I didn't trust them for a reason) then about half way down the rope I let go and fell for the pad
the quarterback then proceeded to pull the pad out from under me and I hit the hard-wood floor with a loud thud
everyone laughed
I then lost my temper and garroted the quarterback with the rope (wrapped it around his neck and pulled tight) yelling that he would never do that again
then things became very serious; the teacher yelled at the class to "get him off of him" and well yeah you can see where things went
Damn that's unfair (i'm serious). If you consider your trust in mankind to be irrevocably damaged i suggest you go columbine massacre on their asses. If you can delay your gratification you can also get a job, make some money and hire a junkie to kill them.WOPR said:Okay yeah this is a life story but it has a point
I've been beaten up my whole life (weather it be because I'm weird, because I'm poor, or because I'm 18 and have never had a girlfriend)
but in 7th grade (weird/poor) things went too far
the Football team would always hold me down and take turns hitting me
or pelting me with tennis and baseballs
scares bruises and black eyes everywhere
the teachers said "they're just boys being boys"
then one day at the gym, we were doing the rope climb
you climb this really tall rope, ring the bell, then fall onto this really soft cooshy pad so you don't have to climb all the way back down (the pad itself was like 4-5 feet tall, and felt like a tempurpedic bed)
well I rang the bell and slid down the rope a little (because I didn't trust them for a reason) then about half way down the rope I let go and fell for the pad
the quarterback then proceeded to pull the pad out from under me and I hit the hard-wood floor with a loud thud
everyone laughed
I then lost my temper and garroted the quarterback with the rope (wrapped it around his neck and pulled tight) yelling that he would never do that again
then things became very serious; the teacher yelled at the class to "get him off of him" and well yeah you can see where things went
in the end, I got expelled for hurting the quarterback
and when I showed the bruises, crutches, and scars and told them how I got them they said "it's one thing to harm the student body, it's another thing to make up stories to justify it"
...the principal then tried to convince me to take up something to relieve my anger such as football, or baseball, or soccer...
goes to show what a jock he was as well
off note: I ended up taking archery in boyscouts and was the only one that could bullseye every time on the 20 yard target... I was told that I shouldn't take an anger outlet that would let me kill people from 60 feet away with a sharp stick
EDIT: Crap I forgot the question; why is it that the jocks can get away with ANYTHING but the second I defend myself after being badly injured (with 33 witnesses mind you) I get in major trouble?
EDIT 2: sorry actually I wasn't "expelled" I was just "suspended" for a quarter of the year
when I got back the jocks started beating me with bricks (apparently a drunk driver hit the wall next to the church or something)
and I just ran into the office as fast as I could and the second the principal heard my voice and the phrase "law suit"
well...
we had a talk
then I was suspended for my own safety
because he didn't want me to be in an environment where I could get hurt
(you know, because punishing the victim is TOTALLY what you're supposed to do... not punish the [4] offenders!)
EDIT 3: I'm not like this anymore and this has been taken care of (got half the kids there to stop attending and shut down one of the two schools they had... which were right across the street from each other haha)
Just throwing that out there
I'm not really a violent person(yes I am I just keep it in- and blame society)
so no one think I'm a freak or anything lol
just was wondering if anyone else has things like this happen and if this is running rampent
Right after Arizona dude this is the kind of thing that gives us a bad name.cWg | Konka said:the are two things you can/should do here
1. get a gun and shoot everone in the fucking face
2. get a knife and slit there throats when they are alone
tbh I would recommend number two
That is insane, I knew Texas was messed up but damn that is just beyond belief.Canid117 said:Do you live in Texas or something? Because that kind of thing never happened at any of my schools.
as for why I said Texas... [http://www.dvorak.org/blog/2010/10/25/cheerleader-wont-cheer-for-her-rapis/]
I've always considered nerds to be more about dedication to academic performance than actual intellectual merit. Some of them were of average or so intelligence and simply really apply themselves to their studies. People who are intelligent but lazy do not fit the typical nerd archetype, so obviously intelligence isn't the deciding factor in nerd-dom.Generic Gamer said:It's one of those things that seems to have got mixed up, the idea that nerds are tortured geniuses stuck among the ignorant masses. Being a nerd means you're socially inept and normally rather aloof, not that you're smart. Personally I reckon that the reason nerds think they're smarter is because that's all they've really got going for them.
Calling someone a 'jock' and thinking them brutish and stupid is just discrimination to make the nerd feel better, most of the really intelligent people I know (not me, I mean people that leave me gobsmacked) are well rounded, rather popular and physically active. As I said in another thread ages ago, you're not a nerd because of something you can do, you're a nerd for something you can't do.
