Why Keep Your Wallet In Your Back Pocket?

My front pockets are usually too small to carry my wallet.
Whenever I sit on bus seats that don't have any padding, or am at school, I take my wallet out and put it in my back pocket.
I find having my wallet in my front pocket is uncomfortable.
Also, my back pockets are tight enough so if anyone tried taking my wallet, I would know right away. I do put it in my front pocket when I go to concerts though.

I keep a wallet in my front pocket. I keep my REAL wallet elsewhere on my person. I'm paranoid.

Besides, if you keep it in front everyone will see the bulge and think you have a huge penis. A huge leathery flattish penis that folds in the middle. And who wouldn't want that?

It is a constant uphill struggle, hell, we need to keep buying cheap games and books just for the plastic bags (and no, we can't bring them from home, it don't feel right).

I've always kept it in my back pocket. In fact, most everyone I know keeps it there unless they're wearing sweatpants, basketball shorts, or are female.

I've always kept my wallet in my back pocket but I also live in an area where I don't need to worry about my wallet getting stolen every 3 seconds.

I used to carry my wallet in my front pocket and I didn't think there was an alternative until my brother told me how it's usually kept in the back pocket.I have an extremely bulky wallet (I don't mean its full of money) so I hated how it would always stick out in the front pocket. I thought it would be uncomfortable to sit on when its in the back packet, but I barely even notice it. And I'm pretty paranoid so I keep inconspicuously feeling it back there and pay attention to anyone who walks near or behind me at all times.

I thought the exact same OP and never understood it, then for some reason i just started doing it and never stopped. Putting it in a front pocket just doesnt seem/feel right now, no idea why.

a) Wallets look ridiculous in front pockets (a phone in the left, my house key in the right, anything more and you generally look like an idiot)

b) Back pockets are designed to hold them

c) I consciously check mine every few minutes, and I'd be very fucking impressed if someone could get their fingers inside my arse pocket without me feeling it - and if you can button the pocket up then there's really no issue

I wear cargo pants most of the time. So i keep it in my left cargo pocket. Jeans, back left.

keep it in my front pocket for that reason I usually wear cargo pants and have too much space left over.
even when I wear regular pants I still keep it in my front pocket.

It fits without it sticking out at your front getting in the way when you walk, I still keep it in my front though so it isn't stolen easy.

I do it without noticing. I tend to notice if someone touches my butt, so i never saw it as a big threat. I do move it if I'm in large crowd though, so i guess it really doesn't make a difference for me.

I've never understood it. Same with wearing a watch on my left arm even though I'm right-handed. I seen no reason to do something illogical just because it's the norm.

I've always found it natural to keep my wallet in my front pocket. I'm more aware of it on me that way and would more likely notice if someone picked it off me.

There were actually pressures placed on me to wear it in my back pocket as the perceived notion in my highschool was that homosexuals wear wallets up front. Seeing as I didn't care what ignorant people thought of me, I kept doing what I've always done.

I have yet to hear the above comment mentioned anywhere other than in my highschool years.

I keep my wallet in my back pocket. Just out of habit. I don't keep it back there for any particular reason, other than that my two front pockets are usually occupied.

Phone in front left pocket, wallet in front right. If im driving, keys go in front left with my phone or if I am wearing jeans it goes in the back pocket cos my jeans are tight.
