Personally, I am using the SRWare Iron [http://www.srware.net/en/software_srware_iron.php] version of Chrome. All the benefits of the browser without the invasion of privacy on Google's part.
Anyway, unlike most people, I don't think too poorly of Internet Explorer (at least of the post-6 versions; 6 was horrible, though). That said, it's not adapting fast enough to the changing browser market, so it's little wonder that it has lost quite a lot of marketshare.
Personally, I used IE for a long time, since I didn't like how bloated Firefox was (although it is a good browser). But once Chrome was released, with it's minimalistic and friendly UI and high speed, I finally decided to jump ship and I haven't looked back since.
