I use EI....

and Firefox (every now and then).

It feels great to be in the majority.

Coming to you from a satisfyingly high speed (although not immune to connection problems!) from Google Chrome!

I only use IE on college computers because it's the only installed browser on them.

I spit on that programme from my shiny Chrome heights! lol :p

Funnily enough I was using IE to read this, as I am on my uni's library computer, but it's been so bad I've personally downloaded firefox and installed and I am using it right now.

I've been using Netscape since around 2004 or so, then switched to Firefox a year or so after that. I played around with Google Chrome for a bit, but Firefox always won out. I love how many add-ons and skins I can get, it's great.

I use Google Chrome for most of my browsing needs. Every once in a while I'm forced to use Internet Explorer, but if I could go without it completely I would uninstall it in a heartbeat.

Screw them. They lost all sympathy after the whole mid-90s Netscape debacle.

What happened?

OT: I'm on Firefox, mostly because it handles tabs so well. Add-ons don't hurt, either.
Microsoft caught wind of Netscape (who, at the time, was letting individual users DL their browser for nothing and charging businesses a licensing fee) they tried to run them into the ground by releasing IE free with a Windows '95 add on pack.

In the end, it bit them in the ass because it lead to the '98 Microsoft Anti-Trust Case and they basically got in trouble over abusing their monopoly on operating systems to unfairly cut off Netscape (since they were the dominant OS company at the time, people basically had to use their bundled software, as I understand it, including IE, giving them an unfair advantage).

All's fair in love and business I suppose.

Check it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_Microsoft_antitrust_case

I use Opera personally, and I kinda wish more people did. ^^; Things are improving, but since some sites don't offer that great support for everything, I have on occasion had to use IE for stuff... like downloading drivers from asus.com. And yes, I know it could all be fixed if I use (abuse?) the fox. :p But I don't want to. I like Opera. Being a Norwegian nationalist, how can I not? ;)

The only time I use IE is when I have to update Windows for a client or more importantly, to download a better browser.
