Hmm I dunno the IE interface is just.. pretty nasty in my opinion. I've been using Firefox for like forever but as of recently I've been using Chrome in tandem with Firefox. It has a purdy minimalist interface which is quite nice.

Well, lets see here. I'm currently reading this on IE. I use Chrome and Firefox at work. And when I'm working on websites, I use Safari, just to check that it's displaying correctly.

Ironically, I tried Firefox ages ago and hated it, stuck with IE until 7, which I finally 'got' tab browsing, but IE7 was just awful; slow, constantly crashing, freezing my PC, so I figured it's been yeas since I'd tried Firefox, so why not try it again. That was around build 2.4

someone really needs to explain to me how you can tell the difference in milliseconds on webpage downloads between all of the browsers. firefox is a memory hog and certainly not faster than ie8. but then again, it's a matter of time that equates to less than a second. mere fractions.

49.9% surprises me as well. I was thinking the number would be a lot less. Now I wonder what the number would be if I didn't get firefox for others who were still using IE. Then again to sit down and figure out how many people there are in the world minus the people that don't use computers or the internet is too much work for simple curiosity.

Hm... Well, I use Firefox now, true enough... Chrome keeps vanishing right off my computer, for no adequately resolved reasons, and IE appears to be generally buggy.
That said, one thing I've noticed about Firefox and Chrome, something that positively differentiates Internet Explorer's service from theirs, is that Internet Explorer never decided to stop responding to anything, including the Task Manager's end task command, for upwards of half an hour.
If I didn't have a virus that kept redirecting my IE search pages to advertisments for low cost holidaying and/or pornography, I'd probably consider using it again, purely so I don't have to cry internally when I see the CPU-100% indicator flashing up at me.

I'm on firefox. I do really like Chrome, but firefox has the master password function, so it wins.
not necisarily, the laptop my dad got from his company he works for came preloaded with firefox, among other programs. even my school computers now have Firefox available on them. IE is definitely losing ground, and at an accelerating rate.The_root_of_all_evil said:
