You are surrounded by 300 Spartans and can have two pieces of modern day equipment...

Enough tar to cover the ground where 300 people would stand, and a flamethrower.

A computer loaded with a simulation of a single man carrying a minigun vs 300 Spartans, and a minigun. Simulation should dissuade them pretty quick, but if any persist I've got the means to perform the simulation in real life.

what would the suit do, don't those type of suits protect you from radiation?
I mean, they can be cut through...Right?

Scorpion tank from halo, It's one man operable and makes funny quips ala red vs blue. Secondly the power armor from halo for faster reflexes. Finlay a large machine gun / Gatling gun because if your not bring an automatic weapon or lots of explosives against 300 charging people you might as well let them steamroll you with massive amounts of unit's
Did you read anything that was in the first post? 2 Objects only, modern objects (not sci-fi) and small objects.
Well then I will change the tank to one of the us army's new'ish one or two man operable artillery pieces, The name escapes me And make the power armor a peanutbutter and jelly sandwich
Splendid, I agree wholeheartedly.

Spartans aren't as impressive as we make them out to be, they quite frequently got their arses handed out to them by Athenians, Persians, Macedonians... you name it :p

I'd say I'd bring a TV and a DVD with lots and lots of our deadly weapons on it. I'd show them the TV (they'd be impressed by that thing alone), and say that if you try attacking me I'll destroy you with said weapons. Hopefully the bluff would work :3
I believe that the Spartans were actually more impressive than we make them out to be, in the beginning. After a while though, they got lazy and rode their reputation around and got their buts kicked a lot. I didn't study a lot of Greek history, only the very basics, but my friend did and said that.

Also, the battle of Thermopylae was real. 300-ish Spartans held off an army of tens of thousands for days. They only lost because they got flanked. And historians estimate the Persian casualties to be about 20,000. That's a 66.666/1 kd. While holding their ground too. Pretty impressive if you ask me.

Think about it, if you train a kid from 6-8 years old until manhood in how to fight, kill, and use weapons, he's going to be an incredible fighting machine. When you add in teaching how to fight as a unit and then stick him in a group with 299 more just like him, he kicks all kinds of ass.

Yeah, remember that time they got beat by the Sacred Band of Thebes when the poor Thebians were outnumbered 3 to 1? Remember how the unit was completely comprised of gay couples?

I don't know whether that was a sad day for Sparta, or a great argument to let gay people join the military.

OT: 300 pound cakes, and my ax. Plan A, Plan B.

1st of all: What kind of Spartans? Ancient Spartans, or UNSC Spartans? I'm assuming the first for now.

First piece of equipment: MJOLNIR. Let's see them face a REAL Spartan

Second piece of equipment: a boom box playing Justin Beiber on loop. See, I can always mute outside sounds using MJOLNIR's helmet, but the other guy's cant. Watch them run!

Think about it a bit more guys. It's 300 spartans surrounding you. Even if there are a few buildings and structures in the war they can just, you know walk around it. I would get a flamethrower and a jetpack. So a flying hellion in other words. The thing is to scare or amaze them as technology which is advanced enough is indistinguishable from magic. If they don't give a shit then I'll have fun burning as many Spartans as I can before I run out of fuel for my jetpack and/or flamethrower.

a suit of armour + sword and a portable hidden red smoke generator to put at my feet and convince them that I'm Ares, being worshipped by the spartans would be rad
