McDonald's is perplexing to me. I used to have to travel through rural Canada a lot for work so I've eaten and compared a ridiculous amount of junk food. McDonald's is one of two fast food restaurants I've ever eaten at where my enjoyment of the food goes down as the price of the food goes up.It's a momentous day. Just had two bites of my first ever Big Mac.
I don't know what possessed my gf to get one; we rarely eat fast food, but she just jumped, left, and came back with a Big Mac. I tried the first bite, and it was inoffensive, but my second bite had a healthy amount of their signature sauce, and absolutely not. Hard pass. She's butt-hurt right now; she was really hoping to change my opinion on staple condiments. Next will probably be a Whopper, but thankfully, the nearest Burger King is too far away for any of her impulse purchases.
Big Mac? 0/10.
Cheeseburger? Fine, tastes like salt, ketchup and cheese. And a little beef. Double cheese - that but more. But the instant you leave the value menu it goes to hell. After a certain point it just turns into "sauce flavor and onion". They somehow even screw up basic no name brand BBQ sauce.
