Seriously, if you drink Guinness often enough there is actually a noticeable difference between one that has been poured properly and one that has not. In fact, if you go to the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin there is a point in the tour where they will teach you to pour one properly, and give you a certificate.
To the people asking about mead, as with a lot of beverages it will depend on the brand. The one I tried was fairly decent.
I have to say I've never heard of that one.Guffe said:This

Nothing beats an ice cold bottle/flask of Lonkero!!!
Whoah, there! Mead is not honey and beer. It is straight fermented honey. I've only had one brand, Chaucer's Mead, and I've really loved it. Please understand that mead is a type of wine. It is not a chugging drink, unless you are insane. It metabolizes into your blood FAST, and you will feel the distinct warmth filling your head after just the first sip. It can be consumed chilled, or heated and mulled, depending on your preference or the time of year. It is very tasty, but it does not hold up well in storage. Get a few friends together if you buy a bottle, and finish it in one night.Requiem191 said:I've actually got a question. I've always had a hankering for mead. Is it as good as viking/norse/etc mythology and all that makes it out to be? I mean, it's honey and beer. That sounds awesome. Usually when I bring up the idea though, friends don't seem all that convinced, or say it's probably not as good as I'm hoping.
Thoughts? First hand experience? I may not be a drinker, but I do love me some booze.
Certainly hope for a win.carlsberg export said:I have to say I've never heard of that one.Guffe said:This
