Basically this. The Beef & Betus, Chip & Ironicus, Proteus & Suspicious, Psychadeliceyeball, Baldurk, Dave_O....generally most of the SA Goons.Well my favorite let's players used to be Slowbeef and Diabetus, but they haven't really done an LP in a long time. So..
My favorite let's players are Chip and Ironicus. I find them hilarious, and they do really good on the production side of things. Or..one of them does, I guess.
Their style seems to be my favorite, the expert and the new guy. Seems to work perfectly for games imo.
Yay! How nice to see another person that enjoys/knows 666theheartless666!clockworkmonkey said:I love watching Best Friends Play, but my absolute favourite is a English guy called Heartless (or 666theheartless666).
The lets play that got me hooked on his stuff was this'un:
His best let's play was Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth. His sanity seems to just drain away towards the end of the game because it's so terrible.
Used to like Tobucus, but his voice has got on my nerves, he's not very funny anymore and he only ever seems to play Minecraft or Happy Wheels nowadays :/

Still, though, with almost legendary Let's Plays like Majora's Mask and "The Kickboat Saga," they will always have a special place in my heart. It makes me sad that they seem to have broken up or something, as they've stopped making videos.
For those of you who haven't seen them, a summary:
Also, if anyone can point me to some sort of repository that still has all the NSMBW playthroughs, PLEASE do so! I never got to finish watching that one.
I have a few recommendations I think you'd like:Tohuvabohu said:Does anyone have any LP's they can recommend me? I watch quite a few of them at my desk at work, they provide excellent background noise for me to occasionally tune into and enjoy during downtime.
Preferably LP's on Youtube. Workplace has blocked off places like LParchive, twitch.tv, and even google video.
I had my time enjoying Yogscast quite awhile back before their Shadow of Israphel series. I haven't gotten into their most recent content. Back when they began their first Minecraft:Survival series, I liked it a lot because of how terrible they actually were at survival and how they just didn't understand the game yet.
I watched a bit of Game Grumps as well. Overall, they're a funny duo - But I get burned out on them quickly, and I get tired of their shtick.
I'm currently watching an LP of Snatcher by slowbeef and Diabetus. Which I am enjoying greatly. A nice balance between joking, being informative, and immersing themselves in the game. This is the sort of LP I would like the most, I think.
Another example along those lines was an X-COM: UFO Defense LP by Kikoskia.
I guess I like it when the LP'ers I see nerd out immensely with the game they're playing.

1. Whenever possible, I play with female protagonists - Girl Power Forever!
2. I understand why you watch my videos. Therefore my videos contain no annoying commentary which would bore you with stuff you don't have to know.
3. Coverage of some obscure titles - rarely will you see a top channel covering a niche game, like Gal*Gun for example.
4. I think I am pretty up-to-date with keeping the playthrus from start to finish. Granted, there are some unfinished (like Alundra), but I just lack motivation. Recently I deleted several playlists which contained nothing but story cutscenes.
5. I upload the entire game content, most/all cutscenes included, as well as battles (where they matter).
