1. never light a tree on fire unless you want to live in a firey hell
2. creepers can always spawn in your base unless every spot is covered in torches
3. finding diamond in a multilayer server is awesome, but dont tell anyone until its all mined out and in a secure location
4. never let anybody know were your chest is unless you wish to vacate the contents of it.
5. if anyone asks, you didn't steal the diamond even f you did
6. when planting a proxie monster spawner in your friends base, make sure to kill all the torches and make sure no one sees you do it because everyone is a douchy rat.
7.build a small safe house in your spawn just incase shit get fucked up
8.explore caves because you never know if you'll find 64 iron befor the first night (it happend to me once)
9. dont dig down unless you have enough ladder to plaster the walls with
10. finally, if you want to make dynamite, for the love of god use armore when killing creepers.

1) Don't place 10,000 tnt blocks in a hole. Especially on your favorite server... It doesn't end well.
2) Beware of spiders, they are likely on your roof.
3) Have multiple bases, starting from the spawn onward.
4) Always make spare tools, store in multiple bases.
5) Live on mountains. Or on floating islands. Or in trees.
6) Explore!
7) Doors.
8) Everything is a weapon.
9) Survival over beauty, especially on hard with 5 other people.
and 10) and a rule from Shadowrun: Look in all six directions; forward, backward, left, right, up and down. It'll save your life, especially from Roof Spiders.

Rule #1: Bring Many MANY torches
Rule #2: When building on top of the tallest mountain you can find add a deck to your house and snipe those blasted creepers below with arrows
Rule #3: If you have the wood and don't care how it looks fence off your roof, won't stop spiders but at least you won't have creepers falling on you when you walk out the door.
Rule #4: Fuck spiders! Hit and dodge, hit and dodge
Rile #5: You will NEVER find what you're looking for on purpose underground.
