Same thing happened to me.

OT: I usually don't chase after achievements/trophies unless I think it would be a challenge, as well as fun.

I don't know about never again, but the least fun one for me was Lee R. Wilson Memorial in Halo 3, I managed to get it quickly enough once I finally realized I should be doing it on Narrows.

Manifest desitny - RDR. if you don't kill all of them in one go, ur gonna spend a good 6 hours hunting the last one down...

Ramblin' Man - Halo Wars.
Just. no. no more, i am not spending 90 damm minutes spawning and killing troops ever again.

Never again do I want to hunt all the Bobbleheads in Fallout 3.
I just used the Fallout wiki.

OT: Getting a $5000 dollar bounty on RDR. I simply lack the will.
Who didn't use the internet?

Do you think people actually scoured the see of brown and gray through every square inch?

It's still annoying, and the reward of +10 in a skill, or +1 in a stat, is relatively useless unless you're trying to max all your skills and stats for a super over-powered build or something.

Stunt master from inFamous. It wasn't that it was hard, well it was but I couldn't find enough enemies as I had finished the game and taken over all the districts, so I spent all the time searching for enemies.

HAH! I didn't use the internet. I'm so happy right now!

L4D(2) on expert. Gah... I'm still recovering from the RAGE.
Exactly. Try the bridge finale. Its impossible. The regular zombies basically kill you in 2 hits, not to mention special infected.

neighborhood watch - orange box. Even with a guide, even with the game on easy, I was SCREAMING.

Orb Hunter/Free Runner - crackdown. In total, you have to hunt down 800 orbs, and they they do make a noise when close, its not always very loud.

gigaton club - project Sylpheed. Ok, I really enjoyed this game, and I liked the idea of this one (kill enemies with a combined weight of 1 gigaton) but it took 12 play-through's of the game to grind this one out.

Veteran gear/Seriously 2.0 - horrible, horrible grindfests. I haven't bothered with any of the serious achievements from either version of the original.

Heh. I did "test of faith" twice. Once on Normal, then again on Hard. Just because.

Getting 100 critical finishes in SC 4, made even harder because i only would do it in online matches... my rep will never be the same again.

Making it through Ninja Gaiden II without dying.
GOD, THIS. Any of the more challenging Ninja Gaiden II achievements are next to impossible without massive RAGE.

Yeah, the AC2 feathers weren't too wonderful.

Try getting 100 wins online, as a scrub, in what seems like ALL LEET PLAYERS, in SSF2HD Remix

The most hardest achievement I've done is from L4D, it's the one where you have to do all 4 campaigns on expert. I do not like to play Blood harvest.
I didn't really do it to get the achievement, me and 3 of my friends just played it a lot.

Do you know if you have to get all the grubs in one playthrough?

If so that's a decidedly dickish move from Valve...

Attaining all the veteran achievements on Modern Warfare 2. On that difficulty it turned a 5 hour game into a 10 hour one. Trying to complete the last part of contingency in only a minute and a half was the worst.
When I tried that game on veteran it didn't seem too much more difficult. Except for the FUCKING FAVELA LEVEL!
Gods, how I hate that level, hours of frustration and getting nowhere
Favela? I don't remember that being overly difficult.

Modern Warfare on the other hand.

HNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNG!

After almost two years of owning it (or something close to that), not completed about 30% of the levels on vet.

Not an Achievement but:

Diddy Kong Racing - Adventure 2

If you were 11 and remember playing this game then I'm sorry
Oh God! I do remember playing it but I was probably older than 11.

I remember it was when the last man on earth mutation was available for L4D2. The achievements I tried to get, Tank Burger, Level a Charge, and some others I don't remember, I actually got them because of this mutation but still I havent gotten that Wedding Crasher achievement and I have no working internet routers so I'm not gonna be able to play till I get new ones.

The achievement in Arkham Asylum where you have to use every move in a combo, and obviously you can't get hit.

I love achievements, but I haven't played many games with them. So basically I do not regret to try again a achievement.
