I've always liked my name, Kedryn. I've always been the only Kedryn, and that's been pretty awesome. It doesn't even bother me that everyone thinks it's a girl's name when they first hear it.
I am so glad I'm not a Smith; my surname's common enough as it is, I would hate for it to be even more so. I'm even more glad I'm not a Johnson, because then my initials would be J J freaking J.loudmadman said:First name Joseph. Last name Smith. I prefer to be called Joe, therefore I am Joe Smith.
Most. Generic. Name. Ever...and I am fine with that.
The name Eric (as most names) doesn't just have one meaning, they usually have a bunch.GildaTheGriffin said:Names Eric. Don't like nor hate my name. The name is to mean, 'Rightful Prince'.
But I would want my name to be Rockwell or something unique like that. Also I hate it when people spell my name with a 'k' in place of the 'c'.
Eric - Rightful Prince
Erik - Stout Soldier
Rockwell - Gracious Beast
The meanings are from some site from back in the day. So I don't know how they got that meaning.
You must have enjoyed GTA IV then!Guffe said:My name is Niko.
There are two variations, one with "k" (Niko) and one with a "c" (Nico). They are both pronounced the same way but it's more of a fact if you're are a Finnish Finn or a Swedish speaking Finn.
Another Alex?BlackStar42 said:My first name is Alexander. My middle name is David, after my father. Usually I go by Alex. Alexander is an awesome name, but it also takes too long to say and sounds a bit too formal, I think.
Eh, it doesn't actually sound that bad 'Fitz', even though it literally means 'bastard son of', but it was almost exclusively limited to royalty/nobility and Royal bastards tended to do quite well for themselves anyway, so it wasn't all bad connotations, I guess. -_- King Bill was called 'the Bastard' FFS!Fappy said:If I remember correctly it means "son of" or something. I remember reading somewhere that it means bastard too I think. None of that was ever brought up by any one in high school though.
Huh... unfortunately for one of my sister's old teachers, he got the bad end of being called 'Spencer'... ended up being nicknamed 'Spanker' by everyone... including a lot of the other teachers... -_-Call Me Jose said:Yea this is a pretty safe-zone name, I'm sure people call you just good ol' "Spence" too, at least I would.
Do people really get your name wrong that often? It seems like a fairly common name.Call Me Jose said:Some people call me Josey as in rhyming with Rosey when reading my name.
Lol that gave me a good laugh, but I guess "c's" sounds like"k's" in school now.SckizoBoy said:Huh... unfortunately for one of my sister's old teachers, he got the bad end of being called 'Spencer'... ended up being nicknamed 'Spanker' by everyone... including a lot of the other teachers... -_-
It usually happens when I go somewhere to eat where they have to call out a name or something. I'd say 1/5th of the time. Which I agree is still pretty odd that people would still get wrong.T0ad 0f Truth said:Do people really get your name wrong that often? It seems like a fairly common name.
I am just going to say that it's an example of most people won't get, but the right people will. Oh, and it's completely unoriginal and lifted it form somewhere else entirely, and I was also surprised it was available.Call Me Jose said:I'm curious, where did your username Eddie the head come from?Eddie the head said:snip
