I have to say that this is one of the first reviews in a while that made me laugh out loud. It was nice and fast paced and the comparisions were very apt (HL2 Gun Turret). Great work.

Bioshock 2 should have never existed, god when they announced you played as a big daddy I literally shouted what the fuck.

My friends birthday is next week, think I'll buy him a copy of the original since he's not played it yet.

Wait, 10 years AFTER? I thought BS2 was a prequel, seeing as you're a Big Daddy prototype and all.

I haven't played this yet so I can't comment on the review but what I can comment on is the fact that the fucking huge advertisement fucking froze my PS3 everytime I tried to watch this on it. I like watching ZP on my PS3 rather than my comp and it's annoying that I can't because of an ugly advertisement for a game I'm already aware exists and have no desire to play as it is and really having the ad freeze my PS3 just makes me want to play it less. Please don't do this again escapist.

Luckily I wasn't planning on getting Battlefield Bad Company anyway. Hopefully we won't get any of those full-screen pop-up ads for a game I'm actually interested in, since I'd never buy anything that was advertised in such an annoying manner and I'd hate to miss out on something that I might potentially enjoy because of it.

"Grrrrr, your selfless compassion fills me with murder frenzy!"
I think I almost fell out of my chair at that part. xD

Well, apparently I'm thick because I quite enjoyed Bioshock 2, but it was lacking in the story department.

I liked this review a lot better than some of the recent ones, mainly for the sheer amount of righteous bile and clever phrases. Well done, Yahtzee.

Lets never put super large ads around the videos again, ok Escapist? NEVER. AGAIN.

Otherwise, it was an enjoyable review that made laugh, thus making this day easier to get through

I couldn't believe when Yahtzee seemed to be praising it at the start, but then he went "Har Har" and suddenly all was right with the world again.
I wouldn't mind playing a vending machine, it would be like The Typing of the Dead game. Instead of using ADAM powers against the splicers, take them out by firing deadly snacks at them.

Haven't played it yet and I didn't expect it to be better than the first, but I'm still going to buy it due to my art deco fetish.

first of all it is set 8 years after the original, not 10. Secondly you can save the little sisters by taking them up to a vent without gathering any corpses. The gathering was completely optional and had no relevance to what ending you got. You just had to kill the big daddy, get the sister and take here a to a vent to save here, and if you saved all you gt the good ending.

idk what the big deal is about the first one is, but other people seem to be seeing gold while i see bronze. yeah yeah i own it, its pretty good, but all that going on about the story being really good and it being atmospheric and horrory isnt really valid. ive only played like half of it so i cant say anything about the story, but still, maybe im just retarded but i cant seem to follow it all that well. and the only horror bit was before you first meet the big daddy and that was before i relised that they were fucking everywhere. And half life drew me in more than it, the first half life that is.

...

umm... oh yeah, well not really interested in this anyway. I am looking forward to assassins creed 3 tho, with all the future stabby stuff theyre foreshadowing. but i will be disappointed... inevitably

Y'know what,

Bioshock: Story is better. More suspenseful and scary moments.

Bioshock 2: More fun in every way. Shooting. Plasmids. Hacking. New tools. Multiplayer. Just more fun to play over all.

Someone should make a flash game of that. Like now.

Ok, yes, no surprises there.

Please review Heavy Rain now. I am very curious what you think of it.

I'm not surprised the sequel is not living up to the original. Every piece of info I've gotten about the game since it was first announced has made my head spin. "You play as the first Big Daddy but it's 10 years after the first game." (94 degree spin to the right) "You play as a Big Daddy but can still use Plasmids." (180 degree spin to the left) "There are older versions of the little sisters that fight you." (260 degree spin vertically)

Now tell me which direction my head is facing.
