The only game that has ever made me want to shoot children in is Fallout 3. Little Lamplight actually made me search for a mod to do so.
And I loved Fable 2 and this review was still funny and accurate. Why is it people think that just because a reviewer dosn't like a game you cant like it yourself? Why does their experience of a game need to change how you felt about it? This has never made sense to me.

Eh, you CAN now shoot the children in Fallout 3, thanks to some nimrod who made a mod to do just that. Happy, you twisted child-shooting freaks?
Of course I haven't encountered the Lamplight kids in F3 (yet), so can't judge just how deserving they are of a hot lead sandwich. . . .

Oh yes, replaying old games is good fun. As for Fallout 2 some people No Mutants Allowed (I think) has a restoration project going which adds lots of stuff that didnt make it to the final version. As good a reason as any to replay it ^_^entropy3ko said:
I did enjoy Fallout 3 but as you said. They could have done sooooo much more. As for oblivion, i think its very overrated. It was alright. Nothing more. But thats my personal thought about it. People can love it till the cows come home for all i care. ^_^
And yes, killing kids is a thing of the past. Way to many annoying crusaders out there these days.

Yahtzee is an amazing game critic, he really is. I've never laughed so much over something related to reviews in my entire life. However, what people fail to notice is that Yahtzee points out nothing but flaws, a.k.a he is a critic. Just because he says something bad about a game doesn't mean it totally blows. You people have an IQ above 100, right? Then why not buy the game yourself, try it out, and then say whether it does or doesn't totally blow.
I mean, here's a small quote from the first page of this thread:
"Another US$60 I don't have to spend. Seems that Fable suffers from the same NPC plague as Oblivion in that all of them look, sound, and act exactly the same.
Bravo."
This means that this person totally ate up Yahtzee's words and ignored basic Gamer instinct, which is "Oh, that looks shiny, lets try it." I mean, I'm not saying anything bad about Yahtzee, or this review, but he himself has covered this before in that one mailbag rant. He doesn't say yes or no, only only offers his opinions and leaves it up to you on whether or not to take them into consideration. I myself bought Fable 2, played it, and rather enjoyed it. Why? Because Fable has a charm to it that I rather like.
Here's another quote:
"Yahtzee's finally sold his balls to the highest bidder and put a dumbass kiddie game into his review.
and here I thought he was our ray of hope to get an honest review to a game ."
Fable 2, a kiddie game? Shooting someone's head off from 50 paces and leaving an impressive blood splatter is far from child-safe material. Fable 2 may not have nudity or foul language, but it is most definitely for people age 13 and up.
See, I just gave a small opinion, just like Yahtzee did with his review. Of course, the mindless masses will see this as one big complaint and come chasing me down with their verbal torches, but I'm not going to be frequenting the Escapist forums very much, so the chances of me giving a damn are zero to none. I merely needed to state that you all are (supposedly) gamers, and should be concerned about trying any game that could be fun.
I'd also like to say that Yahtzee needs to keep doing what he does best, which is ripping games multiple new holes. Though I must ask, why didn't he bother mentioning the fact that Fable 2 is rather...glitchy?

If you really think it was that bad don't get fable 2. I liked fable and I like fable 2 just as much but I'm not going to call them wonders of the world and yell at you for hating them.Ragdrazi said:

Yahtzee never said the violence against children was essential - it's just rather out of place in a game where you can murder everyone except children.
