I don't understand why some people seem to form strong emotional attachments to certain computer games, especially when they had nothing to do with making the damn thing. Hopefully one day they will grow up and learn that none of this really matters! If they ever stop jumping up and down in frustration because somebody disagreed with them.

Never really known anyone to use "God works in mysterious ways" as an excuse, personally I've always used it in reaction to someone thinking they know how something will turn out, like an argument against karma.
With that said, everything has things you can call "excuses", e.g. Evolution has the big comet that hit the earth to kill out all the dinosaurs, it seems Scientists don't have any other way to wipe out dinosaurs out of the Evolution process (since of course Humans take after apes rather then Dinosaurs and if anything they needed an excuse for Dinosaurs to have been wiped out somehow otherwise it just wouldn't make sense why they are in the dirt). Same with the Big Bang a bit too, how did the universe get created? Well think of the biggest explosion of energy you can think of, and that's how. Even with that excuse they still don't have an answer to what came before what was there already, a theory based solely on 'cause and effect' can never logically have a beginning.

I don't really get the system wars. I had a PS2, then the 360 dropped to $160 and I got that. Sure I play games like Halo and CoD4, but I also get less mainstream ones like random hack n' slashes or Armored Core. Dunno why people vigorously defend their systems to the death...criticizing somebody's game system is about as taboo as criticizing their religion. Pathetic.

But as for the big bang theory....well it's called a theory so that says it all really! I don't believe our minds will ever be able to fathom how we came into existence so it's futile to even try. Hence why some people opt for the God/religious theory. I'm not going to tell anybody they're wrong though, I gave up caring along time ago

And on you not fathoming that we will never know how stuff came into existence, I "kinda" agree with you in a way, if I wasn't Calvinistic I'd probably believe that man will never know our own origins). I replied because I do care about religious vs. scientific debating, I just don't care about whether or not somebody believes something different from me. I just like to have open minded discussions with people without telling each other that everything they believe is shit.

To be honest I've never heard of anybody finding Jesus' bones either. How exactly would you tell? Im pretty sure they didn't keep dental records back then, so I don't really see how one persons bones would be any different from another persons of the same era, unless he had some obvious defining feature that I'm unaware of...

I can't remember the guys name now but I think it's the same guy who does Grand Designs, if you know that programme. Apparently it hit in the sea and caused a massive tsunami and rained down fiery brimstone-like stuff everywhere else. Its generally considered fact that the dinosaurs were wiped out like this, whereas evolution is a theory all be it a well thought out one that has yet to be disproved. The bing bang theory is a tad silly though, because what caused that in the first place? Nobody can explain it.
