I have a business trip this week and when I get back it will be Elden Ring time!

I'm gonna have to juggle between Horizon and Elden, which should be interesting. Then on the fucking 4th I'll then balance between those AND Gran Turismo 7.

Maybe I can finish Horizon by then.
Ha! Have you seen those skill trees? You will be lost in the woods for days…weeks!

Id rather get it on console tbh. I dont trust the netcode anymore. And if they hack my console they cant steal my porn so....
I’ve played through all of FROM’s games since Demon’s Souls on PlayStation so will likely start there with Elden Ring too. Will probably pick up the PC version on discount like I did with most of the previous titles, and all the inevitable issues should be ironed out by then too.

Ill do pc when it is really cheap and when there r good mods for it. That is the best idea imo.

The 10/10s are about to begin.
Idk. I have a feeling opinions about the open world will be a divisor. There might also be some technical issues with the large world given the game was still made with an iteration of the engine first used in Bloodborne. Hell, maybe even Demon’s Souls if we go deep enough. Wouldn’t be surprised if the meta average hovers around 90 all things considered.

The average sure. But from most it will be 10/10s masterpieces. Especially considering how long weve been waiting for a new souls game.

I mean anyone remember the disastrous launch of Bloodborne? Or Dark Souls 3? Or Sekiro?
From Software games do get good, and I do love me some, but it takes about 2-4 weeks from launch for the game breaking bugs and crashes to get fixed in emergency patches.
Rule of thumb is never buy a game launch month, and that goes double for From Software games.

As big a fan as I am I’ve only ever played Sekiro at launch. All others were either late to the party or in the case of Bloodborne and DS3 didn’t have a PS4 yet. Sekiro played well at launch though imo, and the couple of technical hitches I recall like loading hiccups remain to this day.

Anyways for some levity -

I will take all of this with a large grain of salt yet though. This game’s existence was little more than myth for a long, long time, and now that it’s actually finally here I wonder if some added elation/hype of the wait being over isn’t clawing its way into these declarations a bit.
