Correction, you're full of shit. This isn't me coming to the defense of Disney though. I will say this, the creator behind Owl House and the creator of Amphibia did something right for these original animated TV shows, more than any of Disney's recent animated movie output. Not only did they get LGBTQ representation right in a kids show (the creator of Owl House being lesbian herself, if I remember correctly), but neither are afraid to be multicultural. Both shows have main a lead who are dark-skinned females. Luz being Latina, and Anne being Thai respectively.
A decade ago, I was among the only people on here who would tell you the right was gaining momentum and religion wasn't dead. Hey, guess what happened?

A decade ago Europe at least had the migration crisis so you likely weren't alone in thinking the right was gaining momentum.
To go on a tangent about said crisis: To a large extend the migration crisis of 2014 also shows how full of shit the far right and its voters are. Because the left and center did what they were so bloody desperate for. The hysteric wailing about how some brown people fleeing our way meant we were all going to die was addressed by the left and center mostly ending the crisis by just locking most migrants in Turkey or Greek islands. Not nice but I think it was effective and likely required before the hysteria could translate into extreme harm. But from the right I never noticed even an ounce of gratitude about any of this. The stock phrase of ''The center and the left do NOTHING about migration'' still got repeated endlessly. Wilders still shouted he and not Rutte who masterminded the ending of the refugee crisis was the real defender against migrants.
In a rather ironic turn Wilders didn't win during this extreme period of hysteria, and instead managed to win in an era where migration was mostly contained, not particularly visible and only used as an opportunistic marketing crutch by the liberals. It shows the presence or absence of migration is less relevant than the right just refusing to shut up about it, and the center opportunistically jumping on board.

I'm against all kinds of racism, I didn't know that you're OK with some forms of racism.
You're just doing everyone a disservice when you race/gender swap iconic characters. You're not getting more representation because everyone will remember the iconic character and not the new swapped character in just a couple years. No one is gonna remember Rachel Zegler as Snow White for example. Whereas if you make something original that becomes beloved, then that character will live on forever in the cultural zeitgeist. Owl House might be that for example whereas the new Scooby Doo Velma show will never be that.

I'm not demanding more white people. I literally said Disney shouldn't even be doing the remakes in the first place, I'm not going to watch them if they had white people or not (I'm just pointing out it's obvious Disney is purposefully race swapping, which is inherently racist). The biggest reason why I would never watch the new Little Mermaid is because the original is 83 minutes long and the new one is 135 minutes long, I know for a fact that the Little Mermaid shouldn't be over 2 fucking hours. It's gonna be a worse movie that is longer so if I want to watch the Little Mermaid, I'll be watching the one that's not only better but also using up less of my time. Literally the same reason I never watched the new Lion King, which is my childhood favorite, and obviously has nothing to do with race since they're fucking lions.
I'm currently watching the latest season of Abbott Elementary because I just love white people so much!!!
