To me, it depends entirely on the quality of the player model, appearance etc... If i'm going to spend any great deal of time looking at, and interacting with others, via this character, I want it to be something I wont get sick of looking at. (Or as a games designer myself... something I wont...

I'm a computer games designer currently at University, so working with 3D is part of my course. It's something I really enjoy both as part of the course, and as a hobby. Atm, I use Maya and UnrealEditor3 (for 2004), and photoshopCS3 for texturing both 3D characters and levels

Hunting for food, or as a measure to maintain an ecosystem (ie controlling numbers) is fine in my books. Although I dont agree with hunting for entertainment. Granted, some methods are more humane than others (like fox-hunting), but in my opinion it's pointless and distasteful to take pleasure...

Just a heads up, DOTA is neither an FPS, nor an RTS. It's purely an RPG mod for Warcraft3 which sees a team of players pick a hero, grind for experiance, then attack another team of heroes. I've played it a few times at LANs, and I'd definetly say that it's best played in a LAN environment...

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War. A very good RTS BioShock (if you've not played the 360 version) Darwinia, well worth a look into. An addictive game with a heavy RTS influence Anything with MonkeyIsland in the title ^_^ MaxPayne (I prefer 1, over 2, but apparantly both are good)
