So, you might remember Liz "mad as a box of frogs" Truss as the UK's previous PM, who was forced to resign after a few short weeks in power. Rather than reflect on this with some sense of humility - because of course she has no humility - she's just driven even harder right to grasp some sort of political rehabilitation.

I was particularly fascinated by this narrative, that somehow the British "deep state" () thwarted her. This is an... interesting... version of history. What actually happened was that Truss and her right-hand man in the Treasury, Kwasi Kwarteng, actually cut out most of the supposed "deep state" from the planning and scrutiny of their decision making, ran up an unbalanced and unfinanced budget which freaked out the markets, requiring another part of her so-called "deep state" (i.e. The Bank of England) to launch an expensive bail out. And to a large extent, what also really obstructed her were her own party MPs and her incompetent management of them.

Of course, being asked to cite some of these "deep state" agencies, she reels off a list some of which cannot plausibly have caused her any significant inconvenience in her brief 50-day time in office... but which are typical red rags for the further right. Because that's what this farce is all about: all PR, little truth.

I still can't believe she never realized that boldly announcing a plan to only help the ultra rich and leave everyone else to rot during a cost of living crisis would backfire on her. Even had the deepstate been out to get here they'd not have succeeded if Truss hadn't treated the British population with complete contempt.

They don't want realistic women. They want super-beautiful idealized women, because why even should a woman exist if she doesn't give them a chubby?
But how is that picture not idealized though? It's full-on classically hot Lara. I guess we've come to a point where even "the good old days" aren't good enough anymore for the anti-woke. Though I do know there's a weird offshoot of the anti-woke who believe every woman in the media is actually a secret trans.

Like I said before: for bitches like them, it is never enough. They're never going to buy it anyway so no one saying should pay them any mind other than a small call out.

I see the far right appropriating Suicide Squad is going well. Watched a review that quickly threw off the mask and tried pretending that the game is bad because its ''woke'' instead of being bad because its build around disliked and discredited live service garbage.

Other than their own echo chamber, who the hell else they're trying to fool? It's already been established long at this point that the game is failing because of the crappy live service model and the crappy "edgy" attitude of shit story. The only one they're fooling are themselves and the people who are that locked out of the loop.

It's just not possible to have one conservative who isn't a lunatic fringe authoritarian to keep the liberals in check is there. Both the US and the Canadians.

One of the problems with globalisation is that it makes it much easier for the lunatic fringe in one country to inspire other countries to emulate that lunacy.

A little part of me pines for the days of the 90s, when Britain had to hear far less from the USA. Nobody on this side of the Atlantic had heard of Ayn Rand and "libertarian" was synonymous with socialist libertarianism (anarchism), and mostly we got funny little views of America like Michael Moore's TV nation.

If this were the 90s or the 2000s, the same people hating her for her comments would be calling anyone who cared this much about a Disney movie gay like they're Riley from The Boondocks.
If this was around the release of the animated version they'd be crying woke because the prince didn't rape her. These people are lost causes.

There is an argument - chiefly amongst the very pro-capitalist - that she may have had the right idea. Or rather, a right idea. The UK is... kind of fucked at the moment. The economy is stagnant, national debt is... not good, and public services and local government have been starved of resources and are in a desperate state. Someone has to break the patter and do something.

The argument from Liz Truss's end is a massively pro-growth policy which, if it bore fruit, would then create tax revenues which could support public services. (Although it wouldn't actually support public services whilst Truss were in charge, because she doesn't believe in and would cut public services). The other model many economists tout is an infrastructure and public services-led recovery. For instance, the UK has a massive proportion of the workforce out of action long-term sick, underdeveloped cities and regions, creaking transport networks, etc. Improving these could offer substantial growth opportunities.

In essence, it should be a classic ideological Tory v. Labour match-up. Except it looks like neither party will really do either, because British politics is a just colossal failure across the board. The Tories are paralysed by failure, civil war and general toxicity, and Labour seems paralysed by unwillingness to seem remotely radical for fear of electoral defeat. I suppose at least there's a chance Labour might break the shackles if they score a solid election win. But just presently, its main objective seems to be demoralising every leftist in the country.

So he's getting hauled off to Guantanamo next right?

-
Commentator Jack Posobiec at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) on Wednesday: “Welcome to the end of democracy! We're here to overthrow it completely. We didn't get all the way there on January 6th, but we will endeavor to get rid of it and replace it with this right here."

"That's right, because all glory is not to government, all glory to God," he added.

Because to fundies, democracy is not a cause. It is a means to an end. Their ends. And when something gets in the way of their ends, it must be rid of.

Dude, surely you realise her bust is at least four bra sizes too small for a computer game (cis-?)woman.
They are both wrong.

First : Trans ? Why ? Is it supposed to be the chin, right ? Not very convincing but that is the only thing i can spot.

Second : "modeled to look like a real women" ? Sure, looks like a real extremely good looking women, not in any way different from all the other extremely good looking women extremely common in games. That picture is not going against the norm at all.
