I'll eventually get Mass Effect 3, but I'm not super excited about it, I'm one of the ones who didn't like the direction ME2 took. I'm expecting Mass Effect: Beach Volleyball.

Let's sell the idea to Bioware!

OT:
ME 3
SSX
Silent Hill HD Collection
Hitman Absolution
Street Fighter X Tekken (Cole MacGrath is in it!)
oh and I Am Alive looks interesting

that'll do for now!

Mass Effect 3 & Diablo III are the only two I'll make a real effort for. Anything else is a bonus (although the new Tomb Raider looks tasty and I may push myself to get Assassin's Creed 3 - I'm pretty sure it's out this year.)

I have a few games I still need to finish though... like Assassin's Creed: Revelations. Not as engaging as the last few games...

I'm gonna get me Mass Effect 3, Borderlands 2, BioShock Infnite and Twisted Metal. To be more precise, these are games that will get released this year and I will get them at some point that may or may not still be within this year.

The only one I'm sure of that gets released this year and I'll definitely buy this year, is the Jak & Daxter HD Collection.

Far Cry 3...and Bioshock Infinite...and that's it. Maybe Catherine once it pops up in Europe. Thing is I'm a student in my final year, with no jobs available so...its either games or life this year.

Mass Effect 3... and that is all.
Seriously though, the line up doesn't appeal to me really.
If Stalker 2 is going to come out this year as planned originally (unlikely if they can't find backers), then that too, but otherwise, meh it seems like it'll be a quiet year.

Kingdoms of Amalur, looks intersting, but I'll wait for reviews and maybe a few user discussions on this site. I'll avoid the ign comments section since it is akin to swimming through sewerage and serpents (seriously read some of them. They are stone-cold-fuck-crazy.)

Both the new Dmc and the hd remastered trilogy.

Bioshock Infinite

Prey 2 might be good, they focused entirely on the single player campaign and left out the multiplayer element, which no one would play anyway. So there is potential for an interesting story based fps. Considering Bioshock and Deus ex human Revolution are two of my favorite games I am excited but I will remain cautious as I was excited for Duke Nukem Forever last year...

The witcher 2 360 version (no way my laptop can run it before anyone chimes in.)

The last of us, from the guys at naughty dog, but who knows how it plays I've only seen a cutscene.

Alan Wakes American nightmare, I don't care what anyone says I'm looking forward to this one.

Lets see... games that are definitely on my to get list...

Tales of the Abyss 3DS definitely and Xenoblade Chronicles I already have reserved. Other then that not much.
Maybe Kid Icarus Uprising, and possibly Heroes of Ruin, but so far there's not too much for 2012 that I'm super excited for. Maybe there's something else I'm forgetting right now that I might get, but I that's all I can think of right now.

I've looked over the planned released for the year (including a couple of dubious "TBA 2012" releases *cough*GW2*cough*), but I can't think of any that are 100% definite.

I'm frothing at the mouth for both Borderlands 2 and Torchlight 2, but stupid/obnoxious DRM decisions could counter that. I still have my doubts that GW2 will see the light of day this year (after 4 years of having the football yanked away, I just don't trust Lucy anymore...) but I'll probably grab at least one copy of that if it does.

Maybe a copy of Darksiders 2, since the first one was fun enough.

Nothing else really interests me in the slightest.

Definitely Getting:
Max Payne 3
Lego Batman 2 (3DS)
Paper Mario 3DS
Animal Crossing 3DS
Kid Icarus
The Darkness 2
New Vegas: Ultimate Edition
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron

Possibly getting:
Final Fantasy XIII-2
Soul Caliber V
Mass Effect 3
Aliens: Colonial Marines
SSX
Hitman: Absolution
Kingdom Hearts 3Ds
South Park
The Wii-U

2011 Games I still need to pick up:
Little Big Planet 2
Dragon Quest VI
Bulletstorm
Killzone 3
Okamiden
Yakuza 4
Crysis 2
Dissisia Duodeciem
Infamous 2
Alice: Madness Returns
Kirby's Return to Dreamland
Super Mario Land 3D
Fortune Street

+++

I doubt any of those will be day-1 purchases (especially the 2011 games for obvious reasons). The Probably-pile is mainly for the sake of waiting on reviews whereas the definitely pile is definitely, definite. My 3DS has been gathering dust dammit and it really shouldn't be. Also, I've been waiting years to see a new Max Payne even though I probably shouldn't have been. As for Tony Hawk, I loved those games the first time I played them and don't mind shelling out for prettier versions + achievements.

First off, there are so many good games coming out this Spring! I dunno what my bank account is going to think. I can't believe you did not cover Silent Hill Downpour! This is by far my favorite series AND this installment borrowed ideas from Silent Hill 2, what I and many others think is the best game out of the series.

Also, hello, Diablo III!!! Are you serious? We have only been waiting desperately for an announcement of a release date, teased with the individual release of the classes and finally we get word it could be this Spring, FINALLY!

Props to covering Darkness II. This is tied for my favorite game with Silent Hill. I got so entwined in the story in the first game that I felt like I was watching a movie. I hope the second one is even better.

Torchlight II. THis was supposed to be released in the Fall or Winter, but was also pushed back. I spent many hours playing Torchlight, and the fact they released a multiplayer version of the game makes it even more enjoyable. Now I can play with my boyfriend.

Of course, I am excited about the new SSX. I grew up playing those games. Those games are what got me wanting to snowboard and eventually, I became a snowboarder, all because of a little video game on the Playstation. I am not sure about their serious approach though. SSX was always known to have goofy, comical characters and actions. I am not sure if I will like this "serious snowboarding game" idea it has turned into. We will see.

I can't wait.

Definetely Mass Effect 3 (and 2 and 1 for that matter) for XBox. Since I will not get Origin on my system. Just hope there'll be a Steam release sooner than later.

And Dota 2, hope the community will be a bit friendlier than I heard of other likewise games.

Both Mass Effect 3 and Guild Wars 2 will be bought on their respective release dates for sure.

Other than those two I will get the New Soul Cali at some point and also even though I'm willing myself not to, I know I'll give in and get FFXIII-2 eventually. DoA 5 will be a must if it does come out in the latter part of the year, but wont be surprised if that ends up as a 2013 release.

I know very little about any new IPs this year, anyone care to shed any light on anything brand new this year that's worth a look.

As much as I hated Bioshock, Bioshock infinite actually looks really good.

Also that new tomb raider game looks interesting.

That's all I can think of at the moment. I'll also be getting a load of older games I missed, such as AC:brotherhood, & revelations, as well as deadrising (I know I'm really far behind with that one.)
