It is the fault of the users, I used to be a part of a huge mod team that did mods since morrowind, after dealing with the shit users we stopped releasing mods after oblivion for public use and only do private now. I can tell you have never done a mod because it is the users that drive modders mad with stupid ass comments and general shitty attitudes if you don't cater to them and them only.Astalano said:Ok, last comment.PettingZOOPONY said:Current PC users barely appreciate them, and from the looks of things console players would.
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat
The mod below has more views than the game page on the same site.

You know that Red Orchestra was also a mod and is currently getting a sequel and the original made its money back on pre-orders alone?
You know that developers barely support mods so how in the world do you expect great mods to come out and people to appreciate them if the games are barely moddable?
Great mods are becoming more and more scarce...but don't sit here and say that it's the fault of the users. It is not.
Definitely more than a million, most likely closer to 2 million. Of course without hard figures it's difficult to say. It seems fairly unadventurous to say that more people bought Oblivion for both consoles combined than just for PC, but to claim that the proportion of console to PC players is 90%? I would say that is fairly ludicrous, even for an extemporaneous, off-the-cuff comment.Astalano said:Not a chance in the world the PC version sold so little.Aphroditty said:500k versus 300k.
I'm with this guy.grimner said:sounds too good to be true. But really hope that happens, at any rate.
This was back in 2006, obviously numbers have risen since then, Consoles could easily be 90% of the market. the xbox version alone has sold 3.5 mio. to date. With ps3, it above 5.2 mio. (VGChartz)AC10 said:I somehow feel like 90% is a drastic overstatement...

The game only has 1 million 360 sales and 2 million PS3 sales to date (on vgchartz anyways, which doesn't have PC data).
So by their calculations the PC version only sold 333,333 copies? Despite topping the charts at release? Despite me going to 5 game stores and having every PC copy (but one collectors I finally found) sold out?
I like that they're bringing mods to consoles, but why do they have to downplay their immense PC fanbase?
And how are you going to type the command lines? It might work with stuff like TCL or TGM but as soon as you are trying to create an item, summon an actor or moveto you'll be begging for a keyboard.Laxman9292 said:What I really want is access to the console. No more glitches leaving me incapable of finishing a quest! No more having to restart from hours ago before the glitch happened! Seriously, the mods are nice but give us the console!
