Considering I found no real flaws in ME2, I couldn't care less. An interactive comic is no substitute for playing the first game, and PS3 owners should be insulted that they thought it would be.
I can't see what there is to be insulted about. They don't own Mass Effect 1, so you can't just remake it. An interactive comic is better than nothing. As it stands I didn't finish ME1, I played if for about an hour and decided "Nah" before renting ME2. The problem with this is that it filled in all the gaps for me. It simply decided what happened. The comic will let me see the other side of the coin.

They don't think it'll be a substitute for playing, but it's what they can work with, and it lets us make the larger decisions

I dont think BioWare´s comments are inflammatory. They just want to assure ps3 owners that they´re not getting a shitty port, but a quality product.

Since XBOX got MGS4, Devil May Cry 4 and Final Fantasy XIII, it´s only fair ps3 players get to enjoy a great xbox game too.I think that nobody has reasons to complain.

Wait, the PS3 version gets all the DLC packed in there at no extra cost while 360 users still have to fork over extra cash for it? I'm not one to participate in the wars, but that's a bti of a dick move Bioware.

Forget the console flame wars. From the looks of it, all this news post is doing is encouraging the PC fanboys to brag and attempt to make themselves feel better while drooling over their keyboards.

That doesn't mean that the console is superior. It means they just used the newest version of the engine, of course it'll be better.

If the PS3 version of a game uses the engine of the next game, it'll look better. That's obvious.

Kick the crap out of Xbox one.

Aaaaand the version PC still rocks, as always.
But it actually is just a bit superior to the PC version, it uses ME3 engine.
We'll see about that.

And talking serious - textures and mechanics are all the same, so really no difference - except for possible engine-mechanics bug fixes (like constant teleporting on top of a cover - no way to get down), which i hope to be fixed in new engine.

Well it makes sense that it would be better in a way
a) they've had a year extra to develop it
b) it was built around the ME3 engine.
That said I've seen some of the side by side comparisons and their isn't a big noticable difference.

It would be nice if they gave 360 users the opportunity to download the interactive comic though as a thank you for the loyalty.

Somewhere, from atop the high-end tower that can run Crysis on max settings, the PC gaming master race is laughing at the console peasants fighting amongst themselves.

Herr Yahtzee was correct.
Pity the game itself can't hold a candle to either of the Mass Effects; or Call of Duty or any other blockbuster titles that actually have style AND substance.

I don't see how people could say 360 version is better imo
updated graphics, DLC, ability to chose choices instead of getting random. whats there to hate?

sure you don't get all the choices and bonuses you'd have gotten from porting and you'd be missing a bit of info from the 1st game if you never played it but still, this sounds 100% better on ps3 to me and I'm not a ps3 or xbox fanboy (I use PC myself and love it)

Alright, this s*** pisses me off. I don't care that they're porting it. They have every right to do so because it's their game and their money. This is what I don't like: I payed the 60 bucks on ME2 release day because I knew that there would be that Cerberus Network thing where you get access to cool downloads, like Zaeed or extra guns and missions. Then they started charging for DLC and that kind of irked me because I was hoping to get it for free since I paid the 60 bucks to get it on the 1st day. Now you're telling me the PS3 version gets ALL the DLC on PS3 launch day!? And it's made with a better engine?! I call BS.

I'll keep playing Bioware games because they rock, but when companies pull crap like this, it pisses me off. It's just seems like their pandering to sell PS3's rather than their own game. I don't know. Maybe I just enjoyed the exclusivity cause I can't afford a PS3 right now.

It is funny because ME2 on the ps3 is a beta test of the ME3 engine.
I am glad PS3 users will get to play it. I have always had a good computer to play on so my lack of a 360 has never bothered me.

Maybe the PS3 version will be better because, y'know, that console has more capabilities? Still won't come close to the PC version though.

Yay! Now all I need is a PS3 version of ME1! (I'd prefer to actually play the game rather than go with the option provided.)

But that's unlikely, so I'll just wait until I visit some friends over the holidays and play it at their place.

Or maybe get the PC version. Except my laptop isn't that good... does ME1 require a good computer?
well you probably know little of computers in general, and have no knowlege of what a good computer is, you probably have a overpriced laptop that is not good for games and would beconsidered a "shit" computer by most of us.

You want to run mass effect, all you need is a card that is as good as a 8600 (Nvidia not sure the equiv of ati (maybe a 4400?) and intel graphics cards suck) and a minimum of 2 gigs of ram.

Then again you could be more computer savy than I think :)

btw thats for full graphics.

minimum requirements are at their website.

Well better graphics and bug fixes make sence due to having a year to develop it i would prefer to play it a year before than better grapics to be honest. The only thing that i think takes the piss is hasnt all the money the 360 owners put in to buy the dlc just helped fund this port.I feel like i just paided for mine and a few ps3 players DLC.

Why do the PS3 owners not have to pay for DLC i feel a bit robbed suddenly

This has to be THE lamest thing I've heard yet....

Bioware, who just suck ass now, incite a pissing contest and the consoletards fall for it all hook line and sinker... and no one even points out that the more you all ***** about it, the higher the sales go.

Good Grief... what a really cheap ass stunt the former respectable Bioware are reduced to... this should now prove to everyone that they really are just EA in all but name.... This is EXACTLY the kind of behaviour I expect from EA.

LOL.... R.I.P Bioware.
