Yahtzee of course should not say the new game is perfect (Unless it really is) let the game stand out by it's own merits, however, I honestly think he "must" say at least 'Thanks', cause that's the first time I saw something like that.

be that as it may but his reviews have never been about his liking a game or not but more about the potential for dick-jokes. The praise for painkiller was only as high because nobody knew the game, if it was published by epic and rolled out on a big train of "omgthisgameissofunandfullofgore" the review might have been different.

I figured that a positive review by Yahtzee would increase sales, but seven thousand percent is preposterous. I wonder what the actual numbers were, though.

And does this mean that Yahtzee played a key role in keeping PCF open? They had a single game at the time, so I imagine his sales were important to the studio.
