Oh god, they'll probably cut half of the weapons and modes from the original game too, and then "offer" them as extra monthly fee content...

"Our gamers are telling us there's lots of services and innovation they would like to see that they're not getting yet. From what we see so far, additional content, as well as all the services Blizzard is offering, is that there is demand from the core gamers to pay up for that," he said.
This is why developers shouldn't listen to a single word gamers/fans say.

God these guys can be assholes. Doesn't matter though, because if they plan on doing this shit on the next CoD, I believe Treyarch is doing it, which means not nearly as many people will buy it as IW CoD which means a chance at failure. Hooray!

Im sorry, but i wouldve thought that raising the price of the game to the ridiculous £55 mark would be enough, but nooo... apparently not...

The gamers that boycotted MW 2: "We told you guys they were greedy bastards that only wants to make money! Why didn't you listen!? Now look what you guys have done, you've released a monster. They realized how crazy you guys are for that game and now they think they can get away with anything!"

*facepalm* Ugh. I'm extra, super happy I didn't buy the game now. I really, really hope this won't become standard among other games. I really hope gamers have at least some sense left in them. This would be ok if they offered extras/maps/etc as an optional service instead as something that's forced onto all gamers that want to play multiplayer.

Hurrah, another nail in the CoDffin.

Now if you'll excuse me I have to go figure out how to make a working mailbomb.

IF they implemented a CoD style gameplay into a MMO system Then I would pay and play it. IF they charge for what they have now I'd spit in Activision eye. All it would take for one company to have success with this and you'll see very few free online gameplay.

If this happens my MW2 case will start to build up with an ever growing layer of dust. They will lose a hell of a lot of players if this goes through.

I never thought any company could be as evil or greedy as EA. Wow was I wrong.
Activision has become and been the Monster-of-the-Week for so long now, I've forgotton why we were hating EA in the first place.

Well, I was considering possibly buying Modern Warfare 2 some time in the distant future, but if they go through with this, I suppose I wouldn't even be bothered. While I can sort of justify paying a subscription fee for an MMORPG in my mind, even though I have never, ever payed a subscription fee for an MMO in my life, this just isn't worth the expense. I can get the same online shooter experience from several other games which I don't have to continually fork out for, and I don't even like shooters that much. Even if I bought this and wasn't having a subscription forced on me, I'd only ever play about 10 hours a week, at most. Nope, I'll stick the sequel of the Team of Fortresses, thankyou kindly.

This is a very bad idea, if call of duty gets wow-like subscription then they will lose many many customers.
And yet they could recoup the losses by retards who will pay for it.

It was said before by a certain group that buying MW2 in the first place was killing PC gaming.

Well, now they have been one-upped by the very same people who they were trashing before the release. MW2 was not killing PC gaming, though it had the nail and hammer well in place, THIS shit is going to kill PC gaming.

Once developers and publishers see that people would AND THE RETARDS DEFINITELY WILL pay (and it will probably a ridiculous amount, mind you) money for crap that should've been in there in the first place, then every game will involve either a monthly subscription for jack-all or extra one-time payments for crap we should've had in the first place.

If that comes into effect, I'm not buying Call of Duty anymore.

The price has already been jacked up here in the UK, they don't need any more of my cash.
If they think I'm gonna pay a monthly fee to play MW2 they are very mistaken, and I'm with you in not buying call of duty anymore if they implement that.

Wow, I think IW/Activision need to hire a new PR guy. It's seems like every week there's a new story about how IW screwed gamers. If their reading any messages on here I hope they get this message: CoD is not WoW. All gamers will drop your ass for better FPS. PC gamers will stick Valve (TF2, LFD2, anything they do), Xbox gamers will have Halo and Gears of War and PS3 players will have Killzone and MAG; all them require no subscription.
