Wow, we posted that at the exact same time, lol.Frozen Donkey Wheel2 said:Looks OK. My only problem is that the forum "most popular posts" thing has been moved to the bottom. Looking around that thing is usually the first thing I do when I go to this site.
I've disliked them since they fired Jeff and half the team left with him. The guys left there at GS are all good people, but the management teams and the people up top pulling the strings are just assholes. In a way it was a good thing; Giant Bomb is exactly what those guys needed and it lets them be exactly the kind of group they've wanted to be from the start. Funny that they've been bought out by the same people who own Gamespot XDJack and Calumon said:BUT IT KINDA REMINDS ME OF GAMESPOT!
Kinda... I don't like Gamespot anymore. They took my Jonneh...
While we're on the subject, what about a mark as read/mark as unread option? There have been times where I've been quoted on something, checked the quote, and then realized it would take more time to respond than I had right then. An option to mark that message as unread so I didn't forget would be helpful. I'm not in the pubclub, obviously, so I won't be able to see any changes until the final version rolls out, but that's a feature I've wanted since I joined the site.Evil Smurf said:is It possible for a unified mailbox, and next and back buttons for messaging?
I agree with this. I preferred the drop-down menus overlapping with the standard content. Having it move everything else down is too jumpy unless you plan to always have one of the five open (which I dislike, being a forum nut). On that note, the "Latest" and "News" tabs currently have nothing in them.Miles000 said:Those tabs at the top.
I remember one of the big complaints about the previous design being that the drop downs would appear the moment you touched them. They always got in the way.
Now they move the whole page down. Looks too jumpy.
All it would need is to actually have to hover over a tab for 1 second, and it wouldn't be a problem anymore.

Haha derp. I just noticed thatLizardon said:I think this is an excellent layout. One issue I seem to is an empty grey box at the top of the screen where the motto of the moment goes. However if I log out of my account it disappears. It seems to be there on Chrome, Firefox and Explorer.

You should be able to turn that off. In your profile under Subscription and Benefits. Although at the minute the space where it was just turns grey instead of removing it for some reason.Fasckira said:I'd be quite happy if you dropped the motto thing at the very top... pretty pointless, I never read it and it just takes up screen space.
You can change the background of the site and the content background colour in Browsing Options on your profile.Lumber Barber said:Will you do something about the blinding white everywhere?
