Well he was cheating, he is fault himself, certanly somebody warn him not to do that.
So you are saying that if you cheat, you should be killed or stabbed in the brain with a knife? People like you should be locked up, you know.

BEHOLD, the first internet cafe that serves hard-meat that requires very long blades to cut into. and it allows young kids, and Haxxors.

Seriously, though, kind of screwed up, don't feel bad for the kid, but really, was it necessary?

The argument, yes. The Knife? No.

This is painfully ironic

"Games don't cause violence!"

case and point^
I almost thought that. However it reminded me that people will argue over anything, even games at times. Sometimes a persons passion for something over-rides their judgement so they end up doing something stupid. Like stabbing someone in the brain. Or starting a war.

That's reassuring that his motor centers are okay, but what about the rest of him? I'd be curious to know if he had long-term personality changes (sort of like Phineas Gage's encounter with a railroad spike). Youch!
"Phineas Gage" was the first thing that came to my mind when I read the article. This might conceivably lead to some pretty interesting discoveries for neuroscience.
Not that I wish to forget the human aspect of it.

As others have already said, kid shouldn't have been cheating, but this is way too extreme. If they were going to physically punish him (which I don't believe was warranted, but someone clearly did) they should've just beaten him up a little, blacked his eye, maybe knocked him out if he put up too much of a fight. A 30 cm knife to the brain is a whole different level.

I would have if I could have, plenty of times. Props to the attacker for doing it. The cheater ALMOST got what he deserved. Almost.

Why would the internet Cafe have such a large knife laying around? Or was it in possession of one of the kids already?

I just have to say that the guy is pretty badass for surviving a knife to the goddamn brain. For additional irony, you don't even survive that in Counter Strike, y'know?

Seriously wierd though.

Counter-Strike is apparently very serious business.
IT IZ SRS BSNS!

Best way to start a story such as this, I think.

Then again, China is sort of known for these kinds of situations, or at least is more known than anywhere else (mostly to my knowledge), so it doesnt come as a huge surprise...

I do get annoyed with cheats but this is just a bit too much. I feel a slap would have been a bit harsh buy i could see myself doing it if i was frustrated enough but a knive to the head?!? Mental
