How can people not know this classic Blade Runner quote? Terrible.

Here's the video for those who are too lazy to find it:

Also Duck Hunt works surprisingly well in this situation.
Im glad someone posted this video. I watched it near a hundred times while working on this page and my respect for Rutger Hauer doubled and tripled with each viewing. I have fallen in love with the scene now and there is just one thing that still bothers me. I didnt really like the movie much. I tried really hard to too and I watched it again while working on the page but H-Fords future detective thing just didnt do it for me.
That reminds me, the comic needs a new artist because Cory is dead to me now.

Teddy is confuzled. =/
You're not alone. I could tell they were referencing Blade Runner and Duck Hunt, but I'm still scratching my head.
Wait, what where you confused about if you spotted the Blade Runner and Duck Hunt references?

Well, the references were kinda obvious. Even so, I still didn't get it.

this strip was pure genius :) well played good sir.

Also, what's up with all these people not seeing Blade Runner? It's like they are looking at a tortoise laying on its back, its belly baking in the hot sun, beating its legs trying to turn itself over and they're not helping. :(

ok. so from reading the comments I'm guessing I should buy Blade Runner Final Cut on Blu-ray?

Is it really worth it?

I mean I've never seen it. But can it be as good as you people say it is?

Marvelously irreverent. I'm studying Blade Runner atm and you made my day. Also I like the Wiimote lodged in his back.

The basic monologue is taken from blade runner. The references were to Starcraft and Quake 3's most famous Deathmatch level.

That was a good laugh.

Loved Bladerunner haha, knew it was coming from the title of the comic. Didn't expect the duck. Or the dog. That damn dog...

I've seen Blade Runner a few times, and got that reference straight away.

The rest of it I couldn't make head or tail off. It just wasn't funny to me.

This is the problem when you mix too much obscure stuff into a gag - there's only a small number of people who will understand all of it, and actually get the joke.

Next we're gonna have a Krull-themed comic that will have replies that look much the same. Gawd I feel looking at this topic, and I'm not even 30.

I didn't get it because Blade Runner came out 11 years before I was born...

I did get the Duck Hunt reference though, which was released only 9 years before me.

It's a turn on the quote from the baddie's final monologue in Blade Runner:

"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe: Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion; I've watched c-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time; like tears in rain. Time to die."

I think I feel old.
Don't worry I got it and I'm 16...

Its a good movie, though not a great one. I'd get DVD if its cheaper, given I doubt the Blu Ray will have any better resolution in reality.

The story is fine and the characters are ok, but where the movie really shined was it in world and its visual depiction of the future - and its been very influential on the work of sci-fi and some other films since.

Overall, I'd get it or at least rent it. Personally, I do own the DVD and occasionally enjoy watching it again.

I have to agree... I thought it was required viewing or something!

Really nicely paced to the actual scene, I brought it up on youtube and had the dialogue playing as I read the comic once I realised you were doing a Blade Runner homage.

The punchline was priceless XD the duck was a great touch!

Another affectionate parody-
