Oh man, I'm pumped for it. I was looking for one of the most epic Avengers vs Ultron pictures I have seen.... but it doesn't appear to be on the internet. Either way I'm pumped. Haters gonna hate, though.

Looks generic and boring as shit, just like the first one.

How this gathered such a large fanbase is beyond me.
Funny, I say the same thing about most Warner/DC ventures not based around Batman.

I don't like what they did to Ultron at the end.

Not a comic book fan by any means, but I did manage to see a few cartoons where Ultron made an appearance. I see they used the design in the earlier part of the movie. I just don't get why they decided to change it to... that.

I don't think Ultron's appearance is inherently frightening. It's just that, if that voice came out of an automaton without moving lips and eyebrows, it'd be a little more unheimlich. Subtly unnerving is what the design should invoke, and it could do that a lot better if it didn't physically emote like a human face. If you actually read him as a walking, talking piece of science-fiction with all the requisite implications, Ultron -as a concept- is quite scary. Not entirely original, but still scary.

Because it's not human. It's something else. And it wants you to die.

Seems like it will be fun, though. I'll probably enjoy it.

OT: Just realized, anyone catch the shot of Widow holding her hand to what appears to be Hulks Hand? safe to say he isn't the bad one in this at all.

My body was shivering at the end of the trailer. This is gonna be good (I hope). However the trailer does leave me with a question, why is Andy Serkis live acting at the 1:33 mark in the trailer, and who is he playing?
One of the comments on the video youtube page said he's rumored to be playing Ulysses Klaw. Obviously take that with a huge pile of salt.

A lot of the action in the tailer was pretty forgettable, BUT (and this is a big but) every moment with Spader was solid gold. The opening monologue and final couple of seconds, chills man.

I'll be there day 1 for this movie. But being honest the trailer was only average. While after watching Guardians I was thinking, "yeah this will be amazing!" This trailer has a been there done that sort of feel to it. Again don't get me wrong, Ultron looks and sounds super menacing, but I'm worried this might be a little to paint by the numbers sort of movie, trying to up itself just to up itself.

Again, I'm excited for the movie and can't wait to see it, but the trailer didn't do anything to increase that feeling, if anything it probably brought me down a point or two.

Thor was a weak film, but not a bad one.

Incredible Hulk was kinda terrible but then Mavel were still trying find out the MCU business, they managed to fix it at least.

Yo dawg i heard you like iron man suits, so we put an iron man suit in your iron man. Also no matter how much time has gone the guy playing Ultron will always been that guy from Crash lol fucking pervy crash.
Really to me he will always be Danieal Jackson, he went through the Stargate and decided not to come back.

As for the movie, I was sold well before the trailer give or take none of the actual MCU movies has been so bad as to destroy my investment in where they are planning to take this whole saga, yeah and that includes Iron Man 3 (easily the worst of the MCU movies so far) and with GOG knocking it out of the park and Ultron looking like a potentially serious threat, yeah I am sold.

Yeah, I'm so ready for this. Hopefully by the time it is released, I'll have every movie in the Marvel Cinematic universe and can prepare by binge watching all of the movies.
Binge watching those movies every time there's a new one is going to get more and more daunting considering they have films lined up to 2020.

Because they were boring and felt like they were just there to get the MCU ball rolling on its way to Avengers. Come think of it, it felt the same way with Iron Man 2 - boring, uninspired movie. Thor 2 and Cap 2 were better but still felt like "tent pole" movies. The ones I can safely say have a heart of their own, whether you like them or not, are Iron Man, Iron Man 3 and Captain America: First Avenger. It goes beyond whether I think a movie is good or bad, entertaining or not.

I need to be convinced first this is a story they wanted to tell, fueled by an original idea. Not just some company following a 20-year business plan.

that's how companies work though. You can't make something and not think of making more later on, that's how comics have always been. Every comic drops enough hints and possibilities to create more, these movies are made much like comic books are made, which is why so many of us love them. I grew up reading comics so I've come to enjoy setting stories to launch off something bigger.

I'm not that big a fan of "company movies" and their holding pattern philosophy, but that doesn't mean they can't get good, inspired, stand-alone films like the ones I mentioned above. On the other hand, this whole "movie five of phase two should be dark and gritty because it's also movie two of a trilogy within a trilogy"... meh, whatever. More hot air.

I don't know, look at the way they even call their movies. They're "phases".

Kotaku seems to believe the character is Ulysses Klaw.
It looks like a pretty good bet to me...

This was...pretty awesome actually, I made it a point to see it only once cause more than that makes me notice details. Gotta love everyone looking grim, I don't want anyone to die but I know we will lose at least one this time around.

I am gonna cure my itch by watching Days Of Future Past again. It is much better since I found a reason for all the inconsistencies in the series.

comicbook .com is saying the same thing. This could mean the they're bringing in Black Panther. That'd be pretty sweet.

comic books work in arcs, they build an arc and as it runs (usually 5 or 6 issues) hints are drop about other possibilities. These possibilities are then explored in other arcs or other books until the eventual big summer event. There are smaller events throughout the year to plant other possibilities for additional events and/or arcs

that's how comic books have managed to keep on going so many years later and so far it seems they're applying the same idea for movies. Which is why most comic book readers enjoy these movies, we know it's meant to be this way in order for them to have long lasting appeal.
