He was discreet and cool about it, so I didn't think it was a big deal.

Then I remembered my parents. My parents are pretty big Christians. If they found out because of my bro telling them, I'd be in deep crap.

What should I do if that happens?

I think it's highly unlikely that your brother will tell your parents, probably because:

* He's probably doing it too, and he doesn't want you busting him and then telling your parents in revenge
* It's a pretty embarrasing topic to bring up, it would be easier for him not to mention it


However, if it does come to the crunch, the Bible is pretty ambiguous about whether it disapproves of masturbation or not. You'd be hard-pressed to find direct references to masturbation being bad in the Bible, most views about it being "a sin" are more extrapolation than anything else. But its a form of Lust and not to lust is mentioned in there thats why its looked down upon. Personally I could care less but im just saying.

Is it really a form of lust? Maybe, but then maybe masturbation prevents lust by knocking out the sex drive for a while allowing a highly-sexed person to focus on other things thus preventing them from inappropriately lusting after co-workers, fellow students, peers or whoever. Masturbation could be a path toward sin, or a path that leads from sin, depending on your outlook. Like a lot of things extrapolated from a book written thousands of years ago and rewritten/translated many times over, there's lots of room for interpretation.

If they try to take the religion angle then either demand they find the exact passage saying it is wrong then follow it up by spending the next few months pointing out every single thing they do that is against the bible or just tell them you do not care what the bible has to say.

Ok this might sound like a hard thing to deal with if they are extremests. Yet if they do not care its no real deal. But for the sake of arguement I'm going to assume the former.

If they are against it, because in the Bible it is bad. Simply reply by saying that "the bible also says in Deuteronomy (or however it is spelt) that it is fine for the father to sell his daughter into slavery and a man to have many wives.

Also then you could do as others have said and request that they look up the Bible and tell you where it says that fapping is bad.

This may come back as an attack on the faith, but I'm using this in a defence for you not an attack on them (or you).
