Duke Nukem Forever? More like Duke Nukem Neve-
Wait, that's old.
Here's the new one: More like Duke Nukem Oh Look It's Coming Out And It's Just A Generic Brown N Bloom FPS, Whoop Te Doo, Good Job Wasting 12 Years Of Development For Nothing.

My prediction: this game is either going to be awful and remembered for generations to come as the biggest blunder the industry ever managed to crap out, or its going to be the best game in the last five years and praised for being more than worth the wait.
What are you a horoscope? "It could be one thing, or it could be the exact opposite of that thing I said." Real insightful.
Unwarranted attacks on random people aside.
I can say I'm not excited. Like at all. It won't revolutionize the industry or break trends. I highly doubt it's going to be daring enough to do anything spectacular.

I never played Duke Nukem and normally i wouldn't be interested. i mean i've heard good things about old games and ended up getting them and liking them before, but Duke Nukem doesn't sound like my type of game. Except now this thing has reached a level where it's almost LEGENDARY. I'm definitely going to have to look into this game when it finally comes out.

A demo is on the way, first for members of the Borderlands Game of the Year Edition [http://www.dukenukemforever.com/access/]) and then to everyone else.
Someone needs to explain to me why I shouldn't go on a rampage over people who got Borderlands on release not getting in on that... doesn't seem fair.

If you got it on Steam, then you did. Console players can suck it, otherwise.

O.T. You get to punch a Battlelord in the jewels. That's all I need to want this game.

So remember: May 3 (or May 6). PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Duke Nukem Forever. Don't be late!
Clearly now only one thing can happen... May will be delayed somehow.

And just remember gentlemen... ALWAYS bet on Duke.

Seriously, I remember reading GamePro back in the day when I was still in elementary school and being kind of excited for Duke Nukem Forever... and now it's finally coming out when I've long since graduated high school.

I'm not expecting a grand epic of a game, but as long as there's plenty of jokes about the game's development time and that good ol' Duke humor and it's not just another damn FPS, I'll be happy.

The former more than the latter. What would have been a brilliant, innovative, and hilarious game when it was originally scheduled to be released will now (ironically) be seen as just derivative of more recent games that have a misogynistic anti-hero as the protagonist... even though Duke Nukem was in large part the progenitor of those games.

I'll buy it simply because it's fucking Duke. But I'm not expecting it to be any better than the travesty that was vanilla Fallout 3.

Of course the sad thing is, the game probably isn't going to end up being as good as anyone hoped.

I'm just saying.

"Today I am proud, humbled and even astounded to announce that the day is coming at last for all gamers to be a part of video game history..."

Hate to say it Pitchford, but not everyone is as enthusiastic about your pet baby as you are.

Well it IS going to be a pretty big deal. The biggest myth in gaming is about to become reality.

Hey I won't deny that it'll be a big deal, but to say that ALL gamers will be involved?

Bit of a pipe dream really, isn't it?

the no-longer-ironically-named DNF
Hate to be a dick, but the fact that it was called "Forever" and it didn't come out was the exact opposite of Ironic, the name is now ironic because a game called forever is coming out on a finite date.

Irony is not when something coincides with something well, it's when something gives a REVERSAL OF EXPECTATION. And henceforth Forever not taking forever is the ironic thing, not that it took as long as the name told us.

But yeah, the true irony is how it's days in development are numbered.
