Ikki whatever is the worst type of anime. I saw a couple of episodes and it tries to mix super serious Japanese....stuff with sexplotation. And none of it makes any sense.

It's like, "I will live up to you, mother, and regain honor to our house.....oh super kawaii my clothes just tore off." It's borderline schizophrenic. Actually most anime is pretty schizo.

Have you ever heard of a game called Killing Floor? Well... the name alone should say enough, but think of Doom or Quake levels of violence. I was reading their forums one day, and you know what a parent was complaining about? He was complaining about one of the enemy characters, a mangled-looking female who's breasts were exposed. He felt that the model should be changed so that she has a shirt or something because his kids might be watching.

All the blood and gibbs splattering all over the place during the course of that game, not to mention that it's a zombie/monster shooting fest anyway... and he was worried about his kid seeing some pixelized breasts WHICH mind you, because of the AoE attack that this enemy uses, you never really get a good look at her anyway because you're trying to kill her when she's still at a long distance.

So no... he's really not exaggerating at all. Blood, guts, violence, sure fine. A little bit of cleavage though and stop the presses there could be kids around!

Edit: And mind you, I'm not saying that violence OR nudity is okay for kids, just providing an actual example of an actual parent falling under the exact "exaggeration" that you accused the quoted person of saying.

I started reading this thread because I knew it would be a bunch of outraged people complaining about the rating when they had never even heard of the game before.

Considering the source material, this probably wouldn't have done all that well in the U.S. anyways, as the game is only meant for fans of the manga/anime anyways. Thinking that this would not have gotten an M rating is stupid.

It depends a lot of the country, but the more conservative or extreme ones, certainly.
punishment for an unmarried woman to go out on the street without a male relative as escort can be anything up to stoning. (considerably more cruel than execution, but just as fatal)

And a Burka, while not exactly a garbage bag, is designed to cover everything except the eyes of the woman wearing it.

There are more liberal muslim countries of course where even covering your hair as a female isn't required or where females are allowed to drive a car, but that doesn't mean this sort of thing doesn't happen.
