Favorite Fallout 3 Weapon

Prime's Xuanlong Assault Rifle. Now that through Outcast trading I've acquired almost 2000 rounds of 5.56 that gun has been my best friend against just about everything. Really good for cutting through Talon patrol groups especially.

Honorable mentions go to the Hunting Rifle for bailing my ass out in the early parts of the game (one time even one-shotting a guy armed with a sniper rifle), the Silenced 10mm Pistol, The Laser Pistol (plentiful ammo and good against robots and Enclave), the Nuka Grenade, the Combat Shotgun, and the Alien Blaster.

Oh and when I do on occasion go melee it's often a tossup between the Sheish-kebab and the Ripper.

Power Fist/Glove whatever it's called. One of my friend's has it and man it looks so satisfying.

The Mesmetron (sp?) because nothing is as fun as enslaving the Wasteland populance, one exploding slave collar at a time.

Aside from that, the named Plasma Rifle of course. That thing carried me through every mission after I got it.

Launching plates, coffee mugs and other pieces of silverware with the Rock-It Launcher? is the best! As far as coventional firearms are concerned, the chinese assault rifle for medium distances and the all time classic, the hunting rifle for a more precice shot.

The sniper rifle, but using it for too long a time is impossible. It's hard to keep it in good shape as the weapon is rare and ammo is scarce. Anyone who has one of those in the inventory knows how useful it is to keep the fighting at a distance.

Spiked Knuckles. Beating down Feral Ghouls, blasting off limbs and heads with god-punches? Priceless. Plus, its lightweight, sturdy and costs next to nothing. Sure, power fist in later levels, but for sheer favoritism? The knuckles are a favorite.

Unarmed with VATS, cinematic slaughter at it's best.

Honorable mention to Prime's Assault Rifle, the Ever-Awesome Fat Man and any type of grenade.

I agree with the FatMan, Shiskebab, named plasma rifle, and the Alien Blaster. All are pretty tight. But my personal favorite would be Vengeance, the named gatling laser, for rapid molecular stabilization AKA ash piles

VENGANCE!!! it is the epitome of gatling lazers. Plasma rifle is great as well and for a long time i only used linocon's repeater.

Deathclaw gauntlet, slashing heads off with it is epic in vats.

That or basically any of the named guns.

10mm pistol, bitches. Style.

Although I admit I cheated myself up Colonel Autumn's 10mm Pistol since there's such a huge gap between the low-end peashooters and the .44 magnum. It's nice without being overpowered.

My favorite was probably the Rock-It Launcher. It did some pretty respectable damage and got some use out of all the junk laying around. Very novel. Second favorite would probably be the Railway Rifle, but I never had the skills for it. Most used gun was a Plasma Rifle.

my buddy was playing it earlier, and he had a baseball bat.

that became my favorite weapon.

I'm trying to finish my current crop of games, then i gotta go back and beat fallout 1 and 2 before getting into three!

The Experimental MIRV Fatman. This thing launches eight mini-nukes at a time. Eight. There is also the Miss Launcher, which shoots rockets like a grenade launcher would launch grenades. Lastly, there is the Blackhawk .44 Magnum, doing 55 damage at 100% condition for such an easy quest.

Alien Blaster. It gets 2 and three hit kills on DEATHCLAWS! DEATHCLAWS!

Where do you find the alien blaster (and alien space craft). I've found an alien power cell up north west area near to some transmitters, but nothing more.

I really don't have a favourite. Aside from the pea-shooters you start with, pretty much every weapon available is immensely satisfying to use.

By the way, whoever programmed and designed VATS are geniuses. Just pull out the Minigun and go nuts on someone with it. The resulting camera angle, with the slow-motion shells pouring out of the thing, panning back and forth, is the most badass thing I have ever seen... well, second to that other (very rare) camera angle that mimics Trinity killing Smith on the rooftop in The Matrix. Beautiful.
