I'm pretty tempted to go with Millenium Falcon and Han Solo on this one.
Though I quite like the Outlaw Star too.

Though I really liked Firefly I can't understand why anyone would say Mal. He's the poor man's Han Solo.

I, unfortunately, can't flipping make a choice here. Too many good ones. So, I elect we send 'em all to a special edition of Fight Club and figure it out ourselves!

I'd say the Daedalus from Stargate. Not because it is more powerful than the Prometheus, but that it just looks cooler, and Caldwell is a great Captain (or should I say Colonel).

Also once it's fitted out with the latest Asgard tech after SG-1 it is almost unstoppable.

Touche, although I preferred Maxilla. But again, Mal and Serenity
Wow, that's good. Electro-knucks to you. Although for ship's names, you can't really beat the Hinterlight.
Really? Unwerth?? Really??! I've been reading this recently and so far all I've seen him do is get his arse kicked. I quite liked the Rubicon from Grey Knights, before it crashed into a planet. I'm learning never to get attached to ships in the 40k verse though.
Word of advice, one shouldn't go making judgements when one obviously hasn't finished reading a set of books to it's conclusion. And I also liked the Rubicon. I friggin loved that whole series, extremely well written.

I was surprised to see someone mention master Unwerth, although I was thinking about him when I read this thread. For a space dwarf he truly is an ace pilot. I loved how he handled the swarm of mechanical killer birds in the Underhive.

For ship names the Misericord was pretty awesome. And from the same novel, pilot Barda kicks ass!

OT: I would like to nominate captain Dylan Hunt of the Commonwealth ship The Andromeda Ascendant.

I guess Cardassian Galor class warship is my favorite, quite unusual design.

No idea for a captain, but my ideal ship would be the Ragnarok from Final Fantasy 8. It's about the only part of the game I can remeber. Aside from a school that could fly.

Admiral Adama and Col Tigh in command of the Battlestar Galactica. They just work so well together and honestly, it's a bloody bro-mance with those two and I just can't bare to break them up like that. Galactica is a tough old bird, she's a battleship/carrier to spits out vipers as fast as she can while putting up huge walls of flak fire while her main battereis shred through the target.

My other pick is Col. Young and the crew of Destiny with the Ancient ship "Destiny". She's pretty beat up but is still running. She's well armed with many turrents plus a main battery underneth the ship plus two shuttles that can serve as short range fighters in battle. :D

Favorite captain is probably the JJ Abrams Kirk. I'm serious about that. Before he existed, it woulda been Picard.

As for ship. thats a bit trickier. Uhhh I like Slave 1 in star wars and I loved the Defiant. Klingon birds of prey get honorable mention as well as the promethius in Stargate.

As much as I love the ME series, I just wasn't bought into the whole Shepard is our savior melarkey. The man (or women) is about as flat of note as a piano under the Pacific ocean. The voice acting for both Sheps is cringe worthy at best, and well...he/she's just too perfect as stale as he/she is.

I favor Garrus or Wrex ten times over Shepard. But back to OT, I'd have to say Kirk.

Gene Starwind and the Outlaw Star.

Also, I'm surprised it took so long for someone to mention Firefly.

[sub]Never got into that show.[/sub]
