Has anyone considered that Fox News might be getting money just to rail about games in order to increase the sales of that game?

Mass Effect and Bulletstorm didn't exactly struggle after Fox News attacked them. In fact, it might have the opposite affect -- increasing hype and getting more people to buy the game that might not have heard of it.

I don't think that Fox wouldn't have noticed this, and I'm pretty sure they would've changed their strategy if they were really trying to stop people from buying the game.

Hmm, maybe it's just my burning hatred for Twilight, but If you ask me the only difference between it and Duke Nukem Forever is that Twilight does it straight-faced.

See? I can be irrelevant tooooo.

This society is becomming too pussified, even gay people use thier emotions to guide themselfs, idk about all that but with everything becoming about feelings rather than a sense of humor i cant help but feel that this damn society is becoming feminized and pussified.

Yeesh, Fox, took you long enough *shakes head in disappointment* We were expecting you to be jerks and make bigger fools of yourselves WEEKS ago.

In all seriousness, lets hope the populance who watch Fox doesn't burn Duke Nukem at the stake.

Im pretty freakin sure the real media (ala News/Magazine/Internet/Film/Music..etc) already does that shit about 80% of the time you see a woman.
Too true. I've taken Advertising History classes. Today's media does just as sexist, or worse, stuff to both sexes. Difference here is that Duke Nukem is joking.

The more fox or anything hypes this, the more young ones want to play it.

This is actually the thing which came first in my mind. It is funny how killing like everything is more alright than slappin' ass...

I have an idea. How about we all go to the Fox website forums, and spam all their threads with "I haven't *insert appropriate verb here* this, BUT..."

Just for giggles. I call the bible. "It has drugs, sex, violence, women being forced into harems, heretics, and blasphemy against God. It is therefore BAD and should be banned before it corrupts our young."
No no, you naughty little troll you ;) But that would actually be funny if the game would be banned in the whole states or something like that :)

Penny Arcade summed it up better. [http://www.penny-arcade.com/comic/2011/3/23/]

Sorry Fox, you're still not relevant outside the ignorant redneck demographic.
Sure they are. They're just not relevant in the ignorant teenager demographic.
Thank you for making my point.
How is that? Are you suggesting that those are the only demographics that exist?
Wooooooooooooooooooooooooosh.

Honestly, who's surprised by this?

What I found especially amusing in the article is this line

"perhaps Fox News should have waited to actually play the game first."

Everybody knows they wouldn't play it even if it was out.

Aside from the free advertising factor,I am sure Grearbox likes that, it is also just another nail in the Fox coffin. The people down there are so far out in left field that they are starting to come back around on the right. They have stopped being news and are now more of a propaganda machine preaching doom and gloom so hard that everyone is now the "bad" guy. I guess though that there has to be some nut on the corner standing on their soap box screaming "The world is going to end!" in order for us to have an example of what crazy really is. :)

Do you know what I find offensive and sexist?
Assuming that young women are so thick and lacking of any humour or understanding to not see a parody when it shoots them in the face!

I, as a young woman, definetly hail to the King! ;-)

Seriously, can´t they just, you know, stop having their head up their backside?

You know what really harms women? The rolemodels depicted in Movies and television, in realistic settings, expecting them to be a mix between 1950s housewives with the body of a pornstar.

Oh, you have to laugh or you'll go mad. What will those clever fox news employees come up with next? I half expect them to do a piece on how dragon age 2 is making everyone gay; it certainly fits their profile.

i have been waiting for this day.
I don't see why the escapist bother contredicting what fox says in the artical. its fox news. I think people here have understood by now that what comes out of its fool mouth,is nothing but raw suage. Fox news dares to piss in the fountain of truth.
And annoyingly, they get away with it.

Color me shocked. Its funny to see how far fox news head is shoved up it's own ass. My personal fox isn't even real news.
