Hey hey everyone FOX news thinks this is serious business, and when has FOX news ever been wrong? /sarcasm
I for one entirely trust them. They are the epitome of good journalism and the height of cultural awareness where it matters most. Providing the media standard of reporting on the most pressing topics of today; the world would truly be at a loss should their entirely unbiased and intellectual broadcasts be cut short.

You were talking about the Onion news network right?

Lol but you are actually right about FOX, they constantly show how low you can set your standards.
And the world would be at a loss, what other network can you constantly hate?

Well, she's either an idiot, or delusional. Possibly both. You can't "stand behind your statement" when your statement is already proven false simply by the fact that there have been less rapes over the past few decades. Therefore you can't claim ANYTHING has lead to the increase in rapes, because there is no increase in rapes! So to stand by such a stupid statement, no matter what you blame the rapes on, is just idiotic. I feel sorry for her patients, they are likely not getting the help they need from this moron.

"What you guys don't know about the countless studies made on the link between violence in video games? Oh excuse me for your ignorance."

And I love how the studies she presented didn't support her claim of "Video Games make rapeists". They didn't even link to sexual violence at all and one even admited that it was only on occasion that certain personality groups (my guess: unstable or already aggressive) can be negatively affected by video games.

And then of course there's the "When the Columbine murders took place, there were national polls where people voted on what they believed caused the two young men to kill. Media violence ranked high on the list..." quote. Well I know that about 25% of the people in America believe that Obama isn't an American and that he's a Muslim so, I guess there's still a chance he's a Kenyan and not a Christian.

Sounds like she got caught up in her own fame. She just gave us evidence of what she is saying is wrong.

This means someone told her the wrong thing and she never read the big study she put forward.

Although shes stupid as hell, she didn't say that public opinion is a study, she said that because the public thought what they thought, they had to know about the studies.

Shes still just a troll.

But dont get mad, show some pity, she probaply needed money for some big boat.

"I have worked in the area of media violence for many years. This included testifying before Congress on the issue, doing numerous media interviews, stopping the 'Schwarzenegger rocket' that was to have had an ad for Last Action Hero on it, being invited to contribute an essay on video game violence to Larry King's book Beyond A Reasonable Doubt, etc. When the Columbine murders took place, there were national polls where people voted on what they believed caused the two young men to kill. Media violence ranked high on the list, so I, obviously mistakenly, assumed that people still knew about the studies showing this connection - and believed them to have proven the link."

This is what I got out of this paragraph-
"I have been supplying and taking part in the creation of extreme right-wing propoganda for many years. I have had my opinions on the subject heard by nearly everybody in the nation including those in positions of extreme power. This is because I have 3 emmy's. When the entire nation needed something to blame the columbine murders on, the anonymous online polls proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that media violence was the main cause. By media violence, of course, we can all assume video games were intended. This, by extension, means that video games cause rape and are the main cause of the increase in rape in the last 2 decades that everyone is no doubt aware of..."

I grew up playing video games. I've been gaming for about 20 years, and I turned out fine. And how does national poll of public opinion constitute fact? It doesn't help matters that the general population will swallow anything the media and their 'experts' say without even so much as batting an eye.

Instead of blaming the games, blame the parents for failing to raise their kids.

EDIT

And I have to say that once again, that her picture just screams "I'm an asshole!"

Meh.
I'm re-reading it now, and it looks like you're right: She mentions the poll as an explanation for why she was suprised, because she thought it was obvious.

I mean, first of all, she's still a total idiot for thinking that a public opinion poll conducted 11 years ago could possibly be applied to any demographic today.

Second of all, it's still fun to pretend that she tried to use the poll as proof of the fact.

True. But obviously when the public has an opinion its based on all the facts and studies that they've researched. Like my example with Obama, these people must have a good amount of hard evidence to support their claims.

I'm not trying to argue with you, I agree. Just pointing out that even when taken in context, that line is still stupid because it assumes that the public (a)always knows what they're talking about when they make an opinion and (b)that they have the same familiarity with scientific studies as the scientists and researchers making them.

The title "Pop psychiatrist" is so fitting.

"Hi, everybody!"
"Hi, Doctor Lieberman!"

really, though. Has this woman ever heard the phrase "digging your hole even deeper"? I mean from this, and some cursory glances across amazon at books she has published, she's a total idiot! She published a book that was, I think, "why guys like bad girls, and how to be like them" or something. I would say a "bad girl" would be some dumb whore-even-in-highschool, who drinks in public and will never have a job that doesn't require a name tag, a repetitive phrase, and if she's lucky an apron. Way to help people, there, dumbass.
I mean I'm not even a sexist, or a frequent meme user, and I feel tempted to say "get back in the kitchen and make me a sandwich." Problem being I wouldn't trust her to cut a loaf of bread that was pre sliced.

Hey guys I just thought, if we start a poll asking who thinks she's a sane human being and who thinks she's a crazy, evil rapist *herself*, looking to draw fire, and we all vote option a. it becomes fact:D
