The KOTORs deserve, at the very least, a resolution bump, if not a flat out full overhaul.

Then... hmmm... let me dig through my Steam catalog...

Shit, I'm drawing a blank at the moment.
Of all the people to neglect mentioning Mechwarrior and it ends up being you. For shame! FOR SHAME!

The series is practically begging...nay, demanding...an HD remake.

I would throw an irresponsible amount of money at whomever decided to do modern remakes of Mech2, 3, 4, and their related expansions.

Though, I suppose Harebrained Schemes upcoming Battletech game technically counts as a 'modern version' of Mechcommander. Sort of.
As much as I'd like a new Mechwarrior game, or for the old ones to get GoG treatment so you can play them without the hassle... I don't think I want remakes of them. All the old Mechwarrior games (And to a less extent MechCommander) are close to my heart, but I also know that all of them have aged pretty poorly, even not considering graphics. Poor AI, poor UI, a multitude of mechanics that need work (And would be sorted out by now if the series hadn't died in 2002), just... it needs a lot of work.

I think I'd prefer new games be made from scratch (Yah, not happening. Thanks PGI and Microsoft), and any effort that was aimed at the older games simply be focused on making them work easier, rather then trying to make them 'better.'

Not that big into remakes - if I liked a game the first time, I can usually enjoy it still, and I'd rather that resources be allocated elsewhere. When I want a remake, it's usually for reasons of me not being able to play the original. But if I had to choose:

-Army Men 2: Sarge's Heroes (get it to the Dreamcast level, where the inside of a house isn't just empty blackness)

-Killzone (maybe)

-Marathon (all of them...heck, "ye olde school" of FPS seems to be a thing right now, so come on Bungie, give Marathon some love)

-Metroid 2: The Return of Samus (akin to Zero Mission)

-Myth (all of them so I can, y'know, actually play them)

-Resident Evil 3: Nemesis (I'd say RE2 as well, but that's apparently getting the remake treatment)

-Warcraft I: Orcs and Humans (make it palatable as well while you're at it ;p)
I'd argue that the original Killzone holds up pretty well. It does look aged but it plays fine and it's cheesy as fuck. Played it for the first time a couple years back and had a solid time with it. Remaking it to the visual standard of Shadow Fall (which I haven't played, here bad things, sadly, loved 2 and 3 was solid) would be pretty rad.

OT: I'd love to replay Saints Row 2 with better visuals and the buggy terribleness ironed out.

I would love the hell out of a remake of Pokemon gen 1 or 2 on the Wii U or NX, in full 3D.

Ape Escape or Medievil arre both games I'd love to see remade though, keystone childhood games for me and they both just sorta fell off the face of the earth.

FF7!!! Oh wait, they already are! Hallelujah!

Annnnd Super Mario 64 with lots of extra levels. That would be un-freakin-real.

I was gonna say Ninja Gaiden Black as well, but it still looks and plays amazing.

I'm going to say the same thing as always.

Legacy of Kain. The entire series, please. Keep the gameplay, keep the story, keep the original voice recording, everything - just pretty them up to a uniform modern standard. And you will get all the monies.
That would be fantastic. But I could live with overhauled gameplay, the one thing that is pretty abysmal in those games. A 3d remake of LOK number 1 would be really cool.

Oh man, the cinematics would be so amazing with todays tech. Just imagine the Soul Reaver intro...oh god.

I dunno, those games have aged rather well in the visuals department. I'd go further back for games that would benefit from graphical overhauls like, say, Daggerfall. I mean, nearly every monster, NPC and prop is comprised of 2D sprites, for Azura's sake! Toss in a slew of bug fixes, stability improvements, cut content restorations, full mod support and an improved seed algorithm for random dungeons so they aren't so stupidly large and labyrinthine and I'd have the best Elder Scrolls experience since Morrowind.
I remember following this one guy who was creating an engine to allow modern tech for Daggerfall. Found the link: http://xlengine.com/

I think the intention is to allow modders to create Daggerfall with Skyrim level graphics and better, or something, I could be wrong.

It has been slow going though, as you would expect from these kind of fan projects.

On principle, nothing. In practice, a lot of PS1-era games could use the face-lift. Unlike pixel-art, early 3D is now eye-cancer. So you know, MGS, Silent Hill, Medievil, Soul Reaver and so on.
I agree with this. N64 games weren't hit so hard, though, since they were softer, less jagged than PS1 games. Only the more cartoony games still look good, like Crash, Spyro, Ape Escape, etc.

Clock Tower is a PS1 game that badly needs a re-do. The original for the SNES was fantastic, but the horrible PS1 graphics almost ruin the sequel.

I would kill for Arcanum remake. Too many are pointless these days, but that one ( even on an old engine, like the one from Dragon Age: Origins) could easily surpass the original.
And I wouldn't say no, to one for Bloodlines either. :p
Oh hell yes. Arcanum remade would be wonderful! And you can add to that Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth.
The first thing I thought when I saw the title of this thread of "Arcanum, duh." And I'm still staunchly in that camp. Give me some Arcanum!

I'm also going to float out SimFarm, SimTower, and properly-modded Jagged Alliance 2 v1.13 (not Jagged Alliance: Flashback).

I'd like to see Super Mario 64 get a graphical overhaul...and I'd bet that's what the NX will launch with since I don't see an original 3D Mario being available until a year or two into its life cycle. Really, if you name an N64 game I would agree that it needs a graphical overhaul. Games like Gauntlet Legends, Hydro Thunder, the Rush series (San Francisco Rush, Rush 2049), Star Fox 64 (just fix the graphics and leave the controls, camera and, radar alone please)...

I'd also love to see the first 9 numbered Final Fantasy games get overhauled. For the first six, I'd like to see hand drawn sprites and characters with painted world maps and areas. 7 through 9 would just be shiny new 3D graphics and please leave the gameplay and plots alone...well, except for FF8...I want to know what Squall said since in the original Japanese, all of those "..." moments were actual lines of dialog.

They already did that for the 3DS. It has 3D and gyro controls, but both are optional.

Oh god no. Square can't redo a single digit FF game without fucking the whole mess up, either with bizarre graphical degrades (The barely 3D games they've made have all looked a thousand times worse then the sprite based games they came from), horrendous porting from their chosen platform, phones, or both.

I know what you want isn't that, but just... don't wish for those things too loud. Lest the insane troll monster that handles Square's remakes hears you, and makes you wish you'd never played an FF game.

My problem with Star Fox 64 3D is the same problem I have with Kirby's Return to Dreamland on the Wii: Nintendo made the game but they didn't really market it and only produced a hundred or so copies of the physical version so I can either pay $too much for the digital version or $WAY too much for a physical copy...The baffling thing is that they put more Ocarina of Time 3D carts into production. Maybe they didn't want a cheaper ST643D to steal the thunder from Star Fox Zero? Possibly?

I really couldn't say. There actually seems to bed a fairly substantial problem with supply and demand for 3DS carts. I just got a 3DS, and I've only gotten one game so far because the current situation is basically 'Get in on the ground floor or go fuck yourself.'

It's really god damn weird.

I'd say a slew of PS2 and Dreamcast games, given that it would help developers remember how to make great videogames again. Jak and Daxter, God of War, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, GTA III series, Legacy of Kain, Jet Set Radio, Sly Cooper, Shadow of the Colossus, the works.

I want The Witcher 1 completely redone. This is a fantastic game that's held back by BioWare's shitshow of an engine, Aurora.

Like, the town square in Vizima is completely fucked. The engine simply was not made to render that many effects and NPC's at the same time.

I don't want it to be redone to be more like Witcher 3, I just want the kinks ironed out. Like the dull, glassy-eyed stare every character model has, the horrible confused-sounding VA's, the "every character really needs to void their bowels right now" animations. SuperBunnyHop put it best when he said The Witcher 1 was a game that needed to be loved for it's amazing half in spite of its worse half. Because it truly is a good game that is held back, not by its age, but by some really strained tech.

Dragon Age Origins. Not just because it's my favourite game ever, but because it was ugly when it came out and time has only made it look worse.

Scarface: The World Is Yours. Mostly because due to its shader use in engine means anything above XP wont be able to run it regardless of compatibility settings. Amazing game, very shitty graphic design.

Mafia 1. I know Mafia 3 is coming this year, but the first one that came out in 2002 could really be remade with modern graphics and be amazing.

Stronghold: Legends. So far i have not found any game that can replicate such scale fortress warfare with such a good map editor. You can literally have thousands of units but unlike in Total War, they are actually individually simulated instread of group simulated.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. Just put it into the new Metro games engine.

The Saboteur. One of the most fun games i played. Sadly due to EA being dicks the game does not work in anything above 720p. New graphic engine please.

The Godfather. Unlike its sequel, the first one was amazing game for its time and have aged very poorly when it comes to graphics.

F.E.A.R. The game had amazingly fun physics engine. do a graphics uplift and its great.

Postal 2. That game is unique but looks extremely dated now.

Manhunt(2). The game got famous for being banned in many countries because of how gory it was. Pixelated blood and blocky characters does not really do the intent justice.

Squadron 42 chapter 1 is supposed to be out around the end of this year, you may have your wish. Or at least close enough to it.

I've mentioned this before but a Deus Ex re-release (with a port to console because I'm a pleb) would probably get me to finish it.
