This game is the truest proof we will ever have of some sort of omnipotent being, directing the universe. No matter how much opposition comes to this game, how much brain-wrackingly terrifying defiance to it's existence. No matter how ridiculous the prospect of it ever being released is, it will still happen, it is fated, since the beginning of time.

...And? Their last "big surprise" that everyone said was going to be Ep3 was that Portal 2 would be on PS3 or something like that...

And vice versa, my good friend. Nothing's confirmed, but it's not like it's been twelve years since the last game. Besides, Newell dismissed people's theories concerning Episode 3 last time. I don't see him doing anything like that now, and then there's that easter egg in Alien Swarm SDK...

But you're right, there's no evidence. But I think speculating its release isn't too farfetched an idea, like it was with Duke Nukem Forever.

Actually, you mentioning easter eggs made me remember something. One of those things might be the 10th class for TF2 they hinted/joked about in L4D...

I never hyped this game because I wasn't playing games a lot when this was even announced. So maybe I'll look into it and see if it's any good. I'm amazed this game is actually going to finally hit the shelves. At least all the jokes can stop now, those were getting a little tiring.
